FusionXN1
Would like to ask which media players have plugins that work with opera, WMP 11 refuses to work correctly so I am looking for an alternative to play movies (including WMV etc). Does anyone know of any? Thanks A lot.
Slimy
Doesn't VLC work? I don't use Opera, but I'm pretty sure it includes the option in the installer.

villiansv
I was under the impression that you can just manually copy the netscape plugins from the c:\program files\windows media player\ folder in opera's plugins folder and they work. At the least any website that has an embedded wmv file opens in the webpage with the WMP interface (e.g. gamespot.com videos). Only exception that I know of is AOL videos, which seem to require IE. By the way, the files needed are in the abovementioned folder and their names start with np - npdsplay.dll, npwmsdrm.dll, etc. And yes, 0.9 version of VLC should have an opera plugin. Also, quicktime and realmedia plugins are similarly easy to get to work, if they don't already. Just look in their installation folders/subfolders for files with names starting with np and copy them to opera's plugins folder (by default, it's c:\program files\opera\plugins and/or c:\program files\opera\program\plugins). P.S. I am using the beta of WMP 11 on Windows Server 2003, so the final that is out for XP should work just as well.
Pallab
WMP and Quicktime works. Quicktime puts the files in the wrong folder. You need to manually copy them to opera's plugins folder.
Daybreak
Some useful config entries when working with plugins - PluginIgnoreFile and PluginPath. If the plugin files are already found in an existing Firefox installation folder (e.g. \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins), just append that directory path to the PluginPath preference. That way, it's instantly synchronized. Also, according to plugin-ignore.ini, NPVLC (VLC's plugin) doesn't work.
