best bond yet :D 10/10

i think i have a new favourite bond film. the very end scene when the music finally comes on is pretty awesome too

QFT

I find it odd how some people are saying it lacek humour. Imho, it had the right amount, any more would have made it really cheesy. I think some people have watched too much dirty humour in the past few years...

exactly.

I watched with my girl friend whos not a bond fan at all and she enjoyed it... kinda!

I was supprised about the start that there was no "Bond" music at the start and only at the credits but hey.

From me watching it I thought I was going to be very disapointed at the start but I walked out thinking it was very good, I liked the whole Bond maturing idea, going from a lose cannon to a more refined 007, And a great punch line for would you like that shaken or stirred the responce "Do I look like I give a damn" is great

Only my thoughts but a great fime over all.

I enjoyed Casino Royale more than any other Bond film I've seen. Who needs special effects and gadgets? Daniel Craig makes Brosnan look like a sissy. James Bond is back, and he's here to stay. Looking forward to the next installment in the series!

I really liked the fact that the bad guy had asthma. It made him more human which just added to the whole real factor of the film. I watched it again for the 4th time last night and it just keeps getting better and better. And I find that you pick up on much more stuff than from the first time you see it.

This movie was absolutely great. Here in India it was the fastest foriegn film to reach $100 Million and it broke more box office records. Halls were full over here.

As for the movie... well Daniel Craig is a good Bond and if he does 3-5 movies then who knows... maybe he might be the best? (Though it will be tough to beat Sean Connery). The less of gadgest din't really matter and the Casino was scene was top notch. Also the scene where his cars flips over is awsome./

Best Bond movie ever (possibly!)

the more recent bond films have played to much on little jokes, cg and tacky gadgets

Everyone seems to be leaving out the fact that Pierce Brosnan is a poor actor....

I cant believe people that say this was a bad bond movie and it did not feel like a bond movie. This film was set at the beginning, bond was not always smooth and invincible, this movie shows a great side to the character.

I am a major bond fan, I had to say this is probably my favourite bond movie to date.

I loved Daniel Craig, he is a great bond.

I would give this movie 9/10.

Saw it today. Thought it was amazing and that it lived up to it's hype. There were a couple slow parts, but all in all, a most excellent Bond movie. One of the best. 9.5/10

I can't imagine how ****ed off you would be if you poisoned someone with a fast acting poison and they come back 15 minutes later ready to kick your ass :D...and anyone else try to figure out what Bond's two cards were before he showed. I was thinkin Ace,8 for the Full House Aces over 8's, though the chances of that with 3 Aces and 3 8's on the board already are far worse than the straight flush I guess (though considering how many spades were on the table, that was a very low chance too)

Saw it last night and I must say that was without a doubt the best Bond thus far. I was expecting a flop of a movie, but Daniel Craig really delivered an awesome performance as Bond. I am really exciting to see him return as Bond in the future.

5/5 Stars!

A fairly decent effort, provided you're prepared to suspend rational thinking. Too many cartoonish and improbable scenes spoiled it for me. Too many points where I half expected Bugs Bunny to appear! A good revival of the franchise though and hopefully we'll see a more polished and logical product next time around. 6/10

On that last hand. What was the possibility of one player getting a flush. The next getting a full house. Then a higher full house. And course Bond with his straight flush. Not to mention the impossibility of that order. The chances of that is like one in a trillion. Yet not impossible in Bond's world. lol

Now I may not be in a good position to compare Casino Royale to older Bond films, simply because although I've seen almost every Bond movie, I did it maybe 7-8 years ago when I was only 10, so needless to say I've forgotten most of them.

BUT, this is a good Bond movie, way better than the last 3 of Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and the abysmal Die Another Day. Casino Royale simply blows those 3 away.

As you know gadgets are almost non-existent here. The only gadgets on show are Bond's special K800 phone and his Aston Martin DBS equipped with a med-kit. And this is refreshing! We don't have to cringe anymore when Q introduces some far-fetched device (Invisible car anyone?)... speaking of whom Q isn't even in this movie yet.

Moviegoers are praising Craig as the new Bond, and I have to agree. He's a big departure from Brosnan... while I think Brosnan and Craig are both good in their own way, Brosnan just looks a bit... too suave and cool... almost bordering on girlishness. Craig on the other hand is just pure bad-ass. He gets deadly physical with anyone who gets in his way. And he is trigger-happy, and I am happy. He makes other Bonds look like sissies. I mean which Bond could've gone through that torture and yet find the time to taunt the bad guy?

And woah! The intro to Casino Royale is just whoa! From the slick B&W sequence to the ultra-cool opening credits, to one of the best on-foot chases I've ever seen. That free-running "parkour" sequence was just awesome! The mid section of the movie does seem to drag on a bit, especially during the poker scenes. But credit has to be given, poker scenes in action movies would always be a tough obstacle. There is also a fairly long romantic section, which I really didn't like, and the climax is poorly done. So yeah this movie starts off very very well but the ending isn't the best. The end scene though... the scene right before the credits roll, was brilliant. And then the familiar Bond tune starts to play.

As for the Bond girl Vesper Lynd, played by Eva Green, she is just BEAUTIFUL.

All in all, a good Bond film. Quite very good actually. The plot is good for a Bond movie. Bond himself is great. Eva Green is smoking hot. I can't wait for Bond22.

8/10.

It is awesome, brought back the feeling of the old bond movies featuring sean connery and roger moore imo. No super retarded world domination plans either in the storyline so it was all good.

I agree. Since when is James Bond blonde? Ian Fleming's James Bond has black hair not blonde.

To me, no one has portrayed James Bond like Brosnan has. Brosnan is Sean Connery's favorite Bond as he once stated on an interview. He was - and still is - awesome. The excuse that he was getting too old to play the role is bull. Roger Moore was almost 70 when he played Bond the last time and with all the CGI technologu these days, it would have never been a problem for Brosnan. I think the studio simply didn't want to pay him what he deserved and fired him.

Best Bonds:

1. Connery

2. Brosnan

Period.

When people judge a film on what colour the actors hair is, their opinions don't matter.

I haven't seen the film, but the comments on here make it promising and I for one will be seeing it asap. Ive seen all the other Bond movies. Brosnan was only ever good in goldeneye. Im not a fan of Connery, Dalton..well lets leave that, and Moore? Worth watching if you fancy a laugh. But because I dont like Brosnan doesn mean he wasnt a good bond to others.

I couldn't care less about the hair colour, and neither should anyone else.
