Xbox 360 on LCD moniter?

Recommended Posts

Ill buy trying to get a xbox on the amazon thing. So if i do, i want to buy the VGA-HD cables to play on my moniter, but i was just wondering if its worth it?

Would it be HD on my 19 inch TFT LCD moniter?

Would the graphics and performance be worth the cables?

Thanks guys :D

Nice to hear this :D i to have a 19 inch widescreen LCD so good to hear i can also enjoy HD goodness.

i run mine at 1280x760 or 1360x780 (i have 1360x780 selected but according to the monitor most of the time it ends up in 1280x760)

VGA ^

Is it noticeable enough to go out and get it now or just use component and wait until they release an HDMI adapter? Basically is it worth an extra $40?

Does it work on a 4:3 monitor, or does it have to be widescreen?

it mostt certainly works on 4:3. some titles may have black bars top and bottom, tho. which is minor.

and it is the cheapest way to get HD on your 360...most current LCD screens are HD by default.

Not wanting to create another thread.

I too am getting a 360 and plan to play it on my 19" Widescreen LCD. Using the VGA cable, what would be the closest resolution the Xbox will be able to output to my monitor. Will it be able to do anywhere near 1440x900 ?

VERY noticeable. Trust me on this. Once you go VGA on the 360, you won't go back ;).

Secondly, HDMI for the 360 is still a ways off. So go for VGA.
