Devistation
Ill buy trying to get a xbox on the amazon thing. So if i do, i want to buy the VGA-HD cables to play on my moniter, but i was just wondering if its worth it? Would it be HD on my 19 inch TFT LCD moniter? Would the graphics and performance be worth the cables? Thanks guys :D
SojIrOu
Yes you can get 720p (1280x720) on your 19inch monitor. It will look much better than a CRT TV and you will be able to use it on most LCD TVs (if you have or intend to buy one).

neoadorable
go to it, it looks great on an LCD monitor, but you will have to prepare some outlet for sound...get a pair of powered speakers with AV inputs.

truste1
My LCD (HD)TV can also double as a monitor, so what will give me a better picture: component or vga?
ToneKnee
VGA ^
truste1
VGA ^ Is it noticeable enough to go out and get it now or just use component and wait until they release an HDMI adapter? Basically is it worth an extra $40? Edited November 23, 2006 by truste1
neoadorable
Does it work on a 4:3 monitor, or does it have to be widescreen? it mostt certainly works on 4:3. some titles may have black bars top and bottom, tho. which is minor. and it is the cheapest way to get HD on your 360...most current LCD screens are HD by default. Chad.C
Not wanting to create another thread. I too am getting a 360 and plan to play it on my 19" Widescreen LCD. Using the VGA cable, what would be the closest resolution the Xbox will be able to output to my monitor. Will it be able to do anywhere near 1440x900 ? Remysaus
i have the same res LCD monitor and I use 1360 x 768 it's just a little bit stretched, but you won't even notice.
MadFerIt
Is it noticeable enough to go out and get it now or just use component and wait until they release an HDMI adapter? Basically is it worth an extra $40? VERY noticeable. Trust me on this. Once you go VGA on the 360, you won't go back ;). Secondly, HDMI for the 360 is still a ways off. So go for VGA.
