advancedboy
I have three questions about the Sonic game for the 360. 1) The one city mission where you have to collect rings in the time limit (in New City, I've just beaten Flame Core if it helps): How the hell do you unlock the jumper-thingy? I got all the rings I know of, and the box still won't come down. 2) Is there a way to get a bigger radar map? It's really hard to use that small radar. 3) I used to have my 360 on a widescreen (projector), so I changed my settings to widescreen. I have since moved it to a 4:3 TV, and changed my settings to 4:3, but Sonic still shows up widescreen. Any fix? I don't want to have to create a new profile! Maybe your TV doesn't do PAL-60?
advancedboy
Like letterbox? Maybe your TV doesn't do PAL-60? [NB: I'm from Canada, so I believe we use NTSC here, but I know absolutely nothing about TV's  ] I think it does as my (original) Xbox can be put in 4:3 and widescreen. Gears of War (360) also goes to 4:3 without being letterboxed.
FATILA
Am I the only one that thinks this game is a right stinker? Did not manage to stomach it enough to complete the first level.
advancedboy
Am I the only one that thinks this game is a right stinker? Did not manage to stomach it enough to complete the first level. Yeah, I personally like Sonic Heroes better, and I think this game doesn't even come close. I liked the speed runs however, they are awesome. I just wished there was more multiplayer variety (though tag is also a very nice addition). The city missions absolutely suck, but at least its better than Sonic Rivals for the PSP! What a waste of $59.99!
advancedboy
Bump! And now for the addition of another question: I have ~20 CDs in a display case that I don't use in CD Players (don't wanna scratch them); I have all the songs ripped on my computer HDD. Is there a way to get them on the 360? I know computers (and MP3 players) can only stream the music, and I tried making an MP3 CD, to no avail. Is there any way to get the songs on the xbox? Would a normal audio CD work? Can I make an audio DVD (if it's even possible) that would enable me to put more songs on a single disc?
+dnast Subscriber² Posted November 22, 2006 Subscriber² Share Posted November 22, 2006 It's easiest to just rip the original CDs to the 360. The only way to get the songs from your computer to your 360 is to burn them as an audio CD and rip them that way. There is a 3rd party accessory that allows you to transfer files to and from your 360's hard drive, but I can't think of what it's called.

I'm used to the oldskool bad-ass Sonic. I'm a huge Sonic fan ever since I first played it on the Genesis. I've only played the new game's demo, but still I found that way better than Sonic Heroes. Will do! As per the 3rd party accessory, I believe it's like a little thing that connects to your 360 HDD and your computer via USB, and I believe it is made by Datel (same makers of Action Replay) as per status-seeker, I'm still young, maybe that's why I enjoyed SH so much. Though I must say, nothing that comes out recently is as good as Sonic 2 & 3 for the Genesis (especially since Sonic & Knuckles added such an amazing twist to the games). I still have the original carts, on my original Genesis.
ramesees
You can also use Windows Media Connect which allows you to connect your Xbox to a PC. Worked for me a while back

Worked for me a while back I actually wanted them on the HDD instead of streaming, and in the end, I burned CD's and ripped them onto the 360 Bump: Can we stay on top of the Sonic video game questions now? :D
DarkGashX
How is the new Sonic? Gametrailers.com gave it a mean and bad review, real bad infact saying it's unfinished and buggy.
Lingwo
Yep, the game did deserve that review. Sonics episode is buggy and poor. The camera angles will get in the way and make you run off an edge and the controls are so sensitive that you can turn and run straight off an edge. Thank god i completed Sonics episode. Silvers & Shadows episodes are better and while the camera angle is a bit dodgy it doesn't ruin it as much as Sonics episode. Also they don't move as fast as Sonic so the sensitive controls aren't so bad. Story wise the game is good and the graphics are pretty damn good too, i would've been happy with the buggy camera because that's what you expect from a 3D sonic game but because the levels are poorly designed you find yourself falling off a cliff. I went through one level with 0 lives and i was right at the end and died! (18 minutes into the level) and i had to go all the way back to the start of the level. Personally unless you're a die hard Sonic fan, then don't pick this one up.
DarkGashX
Ok, thanks for that. Just that it looked good I was going to pick it up with my 360 but i may give this a miss :).
Meshuggah
wow this game sucks....just as much as the demo...im having a hard time completing even the first level...what a waste of a rental and why is Left, right, and right is left, and up is down, and down is up....everything is inverted and I'm not used to inverted games, plus there are no options to change this :/
