NightmarE D
I was playing Doom 3 one night. It was me and two other guys. One guy was black and the other guy was white. The white guy kept asking the black guy all these questions about rap music and who he likes and everything. Black guy is getting annoyed because white guy automatically assumed he knew the history of rap music because he's black. White guy starts rapping and calling the other guy the N word thinking it's cool. Black guy's getting mad and says to the white guy: "SHUT UP!! You sound like crap. Stop trying to rap, you're not impressing me and calling me N like that is BS, man. Go find another room buckwheat sounding bleepity bleep" White boy starts going off and I started cracking up. He starts yelling at me and said "what's soo funny?" I said: "You can't rap at all and you were just called buckwheat by a black man. That's pretty hilarious to hear a black man call a white guy buckwheat and you completely disrepected him by calling him a N thinking he'd be cool with it because he's black and you like rap. How old are you 10?" He starts going off and doesn't shut up. Black guy said something and I said: "Watch out man, we should be careful. Buckwheat might go get Alfalfa and the rest of the gang and come back and bust some caps" Black guy lost it and you can hear white guy throw his controller and start going off and I swear to God we hear his mom start yelling at him  That's the best night I ever had on Live
mattmatik
I played a game last night of 2K7. I didn't have my mic plugged in so I don't know what the dude was saying but by the end of the 3rd quarter I was up 64-48. Couple of plays into the 4th quarter and I get the LOST CONNECTION countdown timer. With Madden/NCAA, you don't get credit for the victory or anything. What I found out about 2K7 (and is very cool), is the result is uploaded to 2K7 server and they review the match then determine the outcome. I ended up receiving credit for a victory (maybe they do this for quitters in general, not sure). EA should adopt this system. I know they have an option to offer a mercy to the opponent but I don't think it works the same.
Shetland
I have never heard the N word more often than when I played halo 2, it was said more often than i heard bullets fired.
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted November 25, 2006 Subscriber² Share Posted November 25, 2006 Because the servers are gonna be full of kids who are old enough to use the word in an MTV context, but too young to understand how offensive it is to anyone who doesn't subscribe to that specific context. drunk_monk
I always try to leave positive feedback, but when I leave negative it's usually then the person is annoying or sings really loud, when the person has an anoying or noticeably younger voice (I only leave feedback if the kid is really annoying and shout abuse, I think it's wrong to leave bad feedback to someone just because they are young), I haven't had too many bad experiences in Gears of War but one guy called me a n00b and left me bad feedback because i killed him consecutively with the chainsaw over 3 rounds, i left him bad feedback too. :D
FusionXN1
Get my 360 @ XMAS i hope, cant wait to get on gears - erm just checking but 17 count as - little "sad" n00bs who will get bad feedback?
DrCheese
hmm I don't have an Xbox360(yet) But I do hope that it is possible to turn off voice chat in games,I always do on PC games as its usually just trash talk. The only time I've actually enjoyed voice chat in games is WoW on raid nights. But ya there should be some kind of verfication system in place that did only allow over 18's to play over 18 games online - tho I was playing 18+ games way before I was 18+ But I never felt the need to randomly insult people online unless they first insulted me - It always seemed pointless. Just because you can't see someone doesn't mean you should abuse them

Dotdot
FACT: In just about every online service there is a vast wealth of ignorant, racist, silver spooned, pre pubesent teens just waiting to run there mouth off. Sadly because they cannot gratify themselves normally. They feel a need to use the internet as a means to annoy and irritate everyone and everything. More often than not making up for there own short falls. Because they cannot act the big man in the real world for fear of being either beaten senseless or maybe there folks are strict and online is the only time they can hand out abuse without fear of retribution. That for me has always been the key factor. That these kids CANNOT recieve any retribution to there actions. So maybe they,ll be banned for a few months or something, but there resourceful little ****s and probs within a matter of days they,ll have whinned at there folks or relatives and bada boom bada bing! 1 new xbox for them to continue spreading there bull****. Oh and the thing about kids playing games when there clearly underage. 1.) Lets see an ad campaign that tells parents about this and educated them to the fact there alowing children to view adult content. Were beyond the stereo type of games are for kids now. So lets behave like it. 2.) Age verification system via Xbox Live (maybe by proving ownership of each game via a check made to a credit card)
Ayepecks
Why does "avoiding" a player actually increase their rating (in GOW, at least)? Do you have to file a complaint to get it lowered?
Matrix XII
It's called muting, people.. use the feature! :p but in all seriousness, I agree with you guys, I hate those young kids on the games, damn annoying is what it is.
FusionXN1
Ok, as I see it. I dont mind young kids I.E. 10 - 14 or younger as long as they have a great game and dont come in shouting and been abusive to others etc. But if they come in an expect to give other people crap and not actually play a game--that's what needs sorting out :) Edit: I dont have live, but know what it is like on Team Xlink KAI/Mate's live :)
