Fugi
Dirtylary Believe it or not, what I find to be the major reason you get at least that one specific error message "Your connection to the host has been lost," is because the games fill up that quickly. So your best bet is to try joining a match that only has 1 to 2 people listed as in the room. I know it is more appealing to try and join a room that is already listed as having 5 or so players, but chances are you will almost always get that error, I know I always do. I think what happens is when it starts searching, it takes about 10-15 seconds to report to you what it finds, at least on my end. So I believe the results are at least as old as however long the search lasted when you first started it. So when you get the results of a room having 5/8 slots, it is at least as many seconds old as however long your search lasted, maybe even a little longer. So by then, chances are by the time you try and go to join that room, the slots are already full. Hence the message "Your connection to the host has been lost" is given. I feel they just chose to use the wrong wording... Basically when you get that error, they should have said something along the lines of "The match is now full. Please try again." So try joining matches that have almost no one in them at all. They fill up quickly enough, and the longest time I ever had to wait for a match to start was like 3 minutes for the room to fill. Let me know if that makes a difference or not. <3 Dirtylary! Also, i belive this problem is similar to the warcraft 3 problem where peopel who haev prorts closed on their router can't cost. Thier games woudl still show up on list but you can't join them because the port is blocked. So some people simply can't host and arn't aware of it. DarkGashX
That's correct, like Crash Day, when my ports were closed my games were showing but anyone trying to connect would be disconnected as soon as they enter. Opening the ports solved it.
Sedriss
This maybe be a stupid question but wut is the address of the 360 on the router? How would i go checking that?
shthead
Look in the network configuartion on the xbox or look at the DHCP table in the router.
DarkGashX
Its different for ever brand of router. I don't own a 360 but maybe that can tell you what address it is using? If not try and look for a "status" page. Here is what mine looks like. (Yes mines the original Xbox :p)

DarkGashX
Have you tried a direct connection without your router? And, if possible, can you tell us what you are doing while on your Xbox I.E. downloading etc.?
PL_ Veteran Posted November 27, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 27, 2006 Make sure there's no firewall interference or anything.
Elliott
Just use a DMZ. :p Easiest route to get around all Firewall features. Don't worry, hackers won't use your Xbox 360 to enter your network.
