DarkGashX
I plan to purchase an Xbox 360 before years end and just wondered what (if any) arcade games, themes or display pictures are included free of charge on the Xbox 360. Do you also need the harddrive? (I plan to get the premium system but may as well ask :)) EDIT: 2nd quick question, how much are demos, themes, display pictures and arcade titles from the Market Place? Titanium_NX
Since you are looking into getting an xbox360 let me let you in on something. If you aren’t ready to invest money in it, don’t bother. The system is great, some of the nicest graphics anywhere, but the system requires a lot. You almost have to get a hard drive with the system, don’t go core. The memory cards aren’t good for much more then saving a game. The demos are free, but most videos, pictures and other content you must pay for with points. You could buy yourself a 20$ point card. The demos are pretty cool. Arcade games are not free either. Most themes are not free, and the ones that are free aren’t that great. Personally if you have a HDTV I would look into getting a VGA wire if your tv supports it. Image is just a lot more clear. neoadorable
get the premium package. and remember that deals vary by location. pretty much the only game that comes bundled with all of them worldwide is HexicHD from Alexey Pajitnov, the guy that did Tetris. It's a great little title. and the 360 doesn't require you to spend more once you buy save for games, but it is true a lot of the stuff on Arcade is tempting...within two weeks of getting my system i bought Contra, Galaga and Doom. DarkGashX
I will be getting the premium. I plan to run the game on my monitor (Dell 2407WFP) which I understand can take 1080p. It has DVI (Used for PC) Composite, Component, VGA and S-Video. although I don't know which input to use. Could you tell me generally how much content is I.E. Display Pictures, Themes and Arcade Games? (Knowing the demos are FREE I obviously don't need to know their price ;)).

DarkGashX
like this one? ;) Yes that's mine :) VGA on the 360 doesn't support PAL-50 Titles, although I'm not sure if I have any.

Personally I own a Dell 2407FPW and trust me on this one, you need to go with a VGA adapter, for some reason or another this monitor can not handle HD Composite, it looks really fuzzy and not very clear. This has been verified by many other owners and I asure you this is not a simple lemmon on Dell's part. Any way the VGA adapter is great, I am using 1920 x 1080 res. and its looking good. Meshuggah
use VGA so your dvd's will upconvert to 1080p. If you use component they will not be upconverted.
