I was expecting the price to be a lot higher, thats a hell of a good deal (Y)

He got it through his company. That's why it's so cheap. This is a rather expensive TV.

Very very nice TV even though I am not crazy about projection TVs as they are outdated imho.

Hey!! Cool TV! :) Now get yourself a HD-DVD and enjoy 1080 movies! :)

I love my 50" SXRD, you will enjoy yours!

Well, outdated for you maybe but gives great picture quality, I find it better than 1080p LCD display. And it cost ALOT less. Much less noise can be seen with projection TV. LCD, even with good HD feed seem to show more noise.

^That's why you want a plasma.

Plasma is known to have even more noise in the picture if you look at it too close. You have to be at a good watching distance to be okay.

I don't have that problem with the projection.

honestly i work at a electronics store and deal with them all the time (im 22). You can't beat DLP for price to size ratio. So these comparisons are pretty weak. It is really an unfair comparison, since then you got to compare cost per sq inch, colors, contrast ratio, black quality. All those margins seem to lean towards one type or another.

CRT projections are outdated. This is a long way from that technology.
