Capcom Addresses Lost Planet Multiplayer Text Size

Capcom announced today that it has fixed the size of the text displayed in Lost Planet multiplayer mode when the game is running in standard definition.

We have noticed the recent concern about the text size in Lost Planet for SDTV users, in particular the "Elimination" mode of the multiplayer game where players' scores are displayed on the top left of the screen. We want to assure gamers that we have already implemented a solution for text display in Elimination, which will be reflected in the final game (although it's unfortunately not in the demo).

With the new fix, the game will automatically detect if Lost Planet is running at 480i resolution and if that?s the case, it?ll change the score display settings for this mode automatically.

The following pictures show the improvement before and after Capcom implemented the fix. In the updated version, you can clearly see how the rankings text has been greatly enhanced, making it much easier for players to quickly determine scores and standing during a matcBeforee

At least they fixed the problem this time around. I don't know why they don't just let you bring up the score with the Back button like most games. In Team Elimination you don't know how well you're doing until the match is over...

id like the bigger text option also for HD sets....we have more space, so why not add it in the options?

I'd like the bigger text, too, but not how they have it now where the list stays on the screen throughout the whole match.

Good for them, what about Dead Rising?

Dead Rising forced me to get a 32" HD TV to play it. Damn Capcom dont you have any old TV's to test games on?
