2 FREE Xbox Live Games

Recommended Posts

I found on this site if you register your console with promotion code "XBXNG100", you can get 2 FREE codes for Xbox Live Arcade Games.

Valid till Feb 17, 2007. What countries does this apply to?

EDIT: Nevermind: Register before 1/15/2007, US 50 States only :( Why no offers for Europe.

Hmm.. Something seems "iffy" about this site.

I wouldn't trust it. It's asking you to login with your Live ID on their website.. And it isn't www.microsoft.com.. This almost seems like a phishing scam.

*Nevermind. Explored the site a bit and it appears to be legit. However the U.S. only element sucks :p.

Anyone get codes yet? I'd do it...after someone else gets confirmation it works. :)

edit: Nevermind, this is for new console buyers. You have to purchase a console to get the codes. Doh!

:D

Nah, I meant I thought it was for people who bought a 360 already and hadn't registered. Unless I did it wrong, it prompted me to build a wish-list thing. I did that and then it said once you purchase the console you can register it then you get the e-mail. I might have missed something though.

Go back to your anger management group and stop offending entire countries of people. So what if they feel left out.........? XBOX 360 is a world wide marketed console. I dont see that its your right to be so offensive to anyone.

He has a point though. Every console gives it's home turf some benefits. It's always been that way, and we accept it when a Japanese console gives the best stuff to Japan first. But for some reason, when Microsoft gives some content to America there's 20 posts about how much Microsoft sucks for dissing other countries. And since Microsoft usually only does that because of legal issues, it's generally not them purposely excluding anyone. It's like seeing another post about how the PS3 or 360 stinks, or how much President (insert-current-sitting-president-here) sucks. It's just someone's rant and it doesn't serve any purpose. It's a two way street. Most Americans that I know personally have nothing against Europe. And yet online, there's always hostility against America. It just unnerves some people after a while. The odd thing about this offer is, I got an email from Microsoft giving me THREE free games. So I must be even more special than people only getting two. :)

It's a world-wide marketed console, yes. But what exactly is your point? You mean to tell me that an American company has to run its contests world-wide? Should McDonald's do the same thing everytime they have a contest, like the Monopoly contests? No. It's stupid to assume such a thing. There's far too many risk factors involved for a company to do that. It's dumb business logic. Realize this and move on.

As I see it, the reason a company only tests a product in a particular country is just for precaution in case it doesn't do so well, like video marketplace. I am from England yes so all I would say is--it would be nice to give each country a chance here and there instead of launching everything in the US first. Statistics even show Europe is the biggest video games market so maybe a beta here and there or offers wouldn't hurt :)

It's not really a contest, it's a reward for registering your Xbox... We all have to do that no matter where we live. Saying that it's really down to Microsoft UK to make these offers to us, and they seem less "pro-active" than the US arm.
