+vlsi0n Subscriber¹ Posted December 4, 2006 Subscriber¹ Share Posted December 4, 2006 I'd believe this figure of 10.000.000 to be obtained, and surpased by 31 December 2006 23:59.59 .
Gfunk4life
all they need is 2 million on x mass to do it, i think they will be at 11.25 million at the end of the year, at this point they may have about 15 million before PS3 hits are friends over the atlantic witch will be great for MS. looks like the xbox360 isnt another sega dreamcast

Xerus
http://www.vgcharts.org/ngwars.php charts here seem a lot different Thats because nexgenwars is just some bull**** counting algorithm, not actual data.
spenser.d
Thats because nexgenwars is just some bull**** counting algorithm, not actual data. Uhh... VGCharts is no better (except for tracking Japan, because those sales can be tracked easily, but that's not the same for anywhere else)... -Spenser

neoadorable
Odd. I was told a couple weeks back that not caring about XBL and not wanting to play with a bunch of kids just showed my ignorance and fanboyism. sorry i didn't see your reply till now. did i tell you that before? doesn't sound like me. d3nuo
i dont see why they wouldn't.. i don't really think it imperative though, it's already been an amazing success and i don't think anyone can deny that.. but i hope that they do hit the numbers by year's end, as i actually like microsoft's gaming division.. unlike some of their other divisions/products :)

Smigit
Nope they are about 600k short.Source? Are those figures from MS or someone else?edit: seems like the 600k is about what youd get off nextgenwars.com. Id be interested and prefer MS's official sales figures. Sheppard
There are no official figures yet, people have been using Nexgenwars as reference.
Corris Veteran Posted January 1, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 1, 2007 I don't think they made the whole 10million, but I'm sure it was pretty close. And this is coming from common sense and not some chart website. :p
Sethos
Thought it was the end of a fiscal year sometimes in 2007 - Not 01/01 '07 exactly.
bdsams Veteran Posted January 1, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 1, 2007 ill be waiting to see what MS says...next gen wars is nice but they use an a forumula so its not exact and may not be able to adjust for an xmas sale surge...

Shadrack
I think that Microsoft has done a great job w/ the x360 and will sell 10 million by the end of the year. I also think it is funny how sensitive everyone gets over a video game console. Some people in this forum really need to grow up and learn that there are more appropriate things to be sensitive to in life. Some of you act like you have millions and millions of dollars at stake over which console will do better this round.
acies
I think they probably will get to 10million, if the PS3 is really as disappointing as people say it is, then ms have lots of opportunity, especially in Europe. Though I am surprised at how well the Wii has done.
magik
I don't believe it's over yet. I don't think Microsoft's fiscal year has ended quite yet. Still time, although I'm sure the Christmas sales have pushed it close if not passed the 10 million mark.
Brandon Live Veteran Posted January 1, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 1, 2007 (edited) Err, I think Microsoft's fiscal year ends in June or July. There will be far more than 10 million sold by then :) If they didn't make 10 million, they came very close.
Sheppard
I couldnt remember wether they said fiscal year or year end.
Corris Veteran Posted January 1, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 1, 2007 He said within 12 to 16 months after launch. They hadn't done it by the full year after launch, but considering Christmas sales, and then January sales etc, I'm pretty definite that they would be over 10 million by march being around 16 months from launch.
