360 overheating?

Recommended Posts

I know how you feel :pinch:

I'd cancel my wii preorder and get a 360 if I thought they were more reliable

I heard there is only 1200 consoles with problems out of 7,500,000+ sold. Is this correct? If so I'm taking the plunge.

Come on, It's called "Warranty"

Bring it back to the store and get a brand new one... thats how I roll anyway.

And the chances of it happening to a different one (the new one you get over warranty), is extremely, extremely rare - let alone how rare it is to happen to one.

BTW my opinion is that its the DVD-Rom that is so loud not the fans.

Microsoft should make a dash update where there is a option to run the drive slower than the full speed to quieten the noise down from it spinning so fast. Ok we would get slighty slower loading times but that wouldnt make much of a difference surely?

True... tho I'd probally order online and I dunno if any places do 2+ year warranty.. and with the MS warrenty people seem to get other people's 360's in return rather than the one they sent(yes I'm paranoid about items I own...)

What do you guys think the best cooling system is, or do they even help at all?

I've heard of the one that you put on the back leaving burn marks on the case :|

hardocp did a review a while ago...

2 years plus warranty i only thought the warranty was like for 3 months, i might be wrong.

In the UK its at least 1 year by law.

I don't know how companies get away with just 3 months :s
