SmacK
This is my second headset that's done this to me now and I just recently bought this one. My headset just dies out on me and now it doesn't work completely! I can hear people through the speakers but they can't hear me. I try unplugging it and plugging it back in and I hear that faint click sound through the headset but that's it, no more sound coming through it, just the speakers. Could it be a faulty wireless controller? Like I said before, this is the second headset. And no, I don't tug, bite, etc on the wired part of the headset. Anyone else having this problem? zombiekid
Hmmmm.... Well i suspect that this problem might be to do with the controller or the xbox 360 firmware ur going to have to chap from microsoft look at it.
SmacK
the funny thing is the last headset i had worked fine for about 3 months, and they all been 1st party headsets. this headset only lasted 2 days! i'll give a call to microsoft see if they can do anything, hopefully it doesn't involve sending in my 360 because i would have to veg out on my pc instead, lol. +dnast Subscriber² Posted December 4, 2006 Subscriber² Share Posted December 4, 2006 If you only had it 2 days you should just exchange it. It's probably just a faulty headset. My first headset also lasted 3 or 4 months before it stopped working for no apparent reason, but my second one (same type) had been working fine much longer - up until a few days ago. That one was broken by me, though. I guess I'll end up getting the wireless one now.

Seabroo
Its not a controller problem, if you have unscrewed and looked inside the little headset bit that plugs into your computer, it is seriously badly put together, they definately didnt have longevity in mind when they starting mass producing them. I am on my third, and no, i dont treat it like my grandma's antique plates, but the old xbox one could handle the brunt of any abuse, and this one should too, but it doesnt... Then just use your old one.
