IceDogg
Sorry I can't be much help because it works for me. But this is commonly caused by either flash or java. I don't allow java as I don't trust it so I couldn't test it. If you've been to a site and it said you needed a newer version of flash and you installed it. It could be the two different setups are using different versions of flash. Might that be it? To check type about:plugins in the url bar. And see what version of flash you have installed.. mine is Shockwave Flash 9.0 r16 which seems to work ok on that site.
rdf8585
I had the same problem using Real Alternative over Real Player. Also the latest flash is 9.0 r 28.

LJay
any other suggestions..?
IceDogg
Done more testing. I allowed java, still worked fine . So I then also allowed cookies.. and wow it slowed to a crawl. It something the ads are doing on that site that's really hitting your PC hard. If you don't use the site for anything that needs cookies, try disabling them and see if that fixes it for you. The 2 different PCs, is the one that it's freezing on a lower end (not as powerful) PC?
LJay
iite i disabled cookies and it still locked up... it's not the whole PC... it's just firefox locks up and gives me an error, then asks if i want to send error report or not... no matter what i click, it shuts down... and na both my PC's are equal in power... actually if anything, the one that locks up is slightly more powerful :(
IceDogg
1. What the error say? 2. I would compare the two profiles and see exactly what is different in the two. SOMETHING has to be. You can do about:plugins on both PC's to see what's different there. Then compare both PC's Prefs.js files (that's where all your settings is stored). And so on. Edit: I'm assume they are the same version, correct?
LJay
i still have to compare the profiles, but yea they're the same version

RootWind
I don't think they even use Flash, so I'm assuming it's due to the Real Player plug-in on that PC.
