StandingInAlley
Hey guys, I just got a new xbox360 after the old one got replaced because it used to freeze due to the xbox live update. Now the thing is that my wireless controller is not syncing with this unit. I tried all the buttons but it refuses to see my xbox360. Is there something wrong with my xbox 360 or the controller? I dont wanna send anything for tech support because its gonna take them another 5 days to send me back the fresh part :(
bdsams Veteran Posted December 7, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 7, 2006 Just to make sure, are you hitting both the white button the console and on the controller in the correct order?
StandingInAlley
I press the white power button on the main unit and after the 360 boots ie when the dashboard comes, i press the Xbox Guide button on the controller. It starts but its unable to find the main unit hence the light spins around. The controller was working perfectly fine with the older unit

There are "Connect" buttons on both units. Hit the one on the front of the system and then press the one on your controller.
+dnast Subscriber² Posted December 7, 2006 Subscriber² Share Posted December 7, 2006 ^ To add to that, the Connect button on the controller is the tiny button between the Left Bumper and the port for the Play 'n Charge cable. I think the controller included with the console is pre-synced, so you usually don't have to do this out-of-box.
Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted December 7, 2006 Global Moderator Share Posted December 7, 2006 if you ever add a new controller you need to sync them. this button is used if friends bring over xbox 360 controllers. you need to turn on both the console and the controller. hold both buttons (console and controller sync buttons) and release at the sametime, that will solve any problem.
