bibutteryboy
I work for a comapny that installs DSL. We use a Thomson Speedtouch modem as our default DSL modem. This is the problem. When setting up the modem, it asks for a username and password at the end of the installation. (this is to gain access back into the modem if you need to change anything). So far so good. When I setup a username and password (the default is administrator with no password), it finishes the installation of the modem setup. However, when I try to access to the modems settings again, the screen that asks for the username and password pops up but will not allow me to enter the password. I mean, I can enter the password but it just blinks and erases the password. Now, if I setup the modem without a password I have no troubles at all. So my question is this: what settings does IE7 use that would prevent me from entering a password at the login screen? I can access the modem without a hitch if I use Firefox but as you can guess, most people don't use Firefox as their default browser. any help would be appreciated
