Don
hopfully someone can help me with this.. my 360 dvd-rom opens by itself and will not stay closed. every time I close it, it re-opens on its own. I can play downloaded content just fine but no dvds work. has anyone else had this problem, or am I alone? I am getting ready to send the xbox off to microsoft but I was hoping for a faster solution if possible. can anyone out there help me?
neoadorable
quirky. take it back, must be an electrical issue. are you sure it closes properly, tho? like there isn't something stuck there or the tray is at a weird angle or something? Don
I dont see how anything could have gotten in there but I did check just in case.. seems to be empty. ive also moved the xbox around and tried putting it on its side also. nothing worked
gdodson
Maybe the front bezel of the tray is binding on the eject button when it closes. That would cause it to depress the button and re-eject the tray.
neoadorable
goog point, the eject button my be stuck. is it all the way out? these all sound rather silly, i know, but short of that...well, it must be a SHORT then.

neoadorable
guessing it's electrical in nature, as in a relay of sorts acting up. This start happening as soon as you powered up for the first time?
