dan
Yo dudes. I have this TV: http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/c...RCSHQNHKFSESI5P It has a DVI interface which is going to the xbox 360 high def component cable interface and works fine in 720p or 1080i. But becuase the standard def connection carries the audio signal through a scart interface i dont get any sound, if i go into standard 480 - EXT1 mode i get sound but no picture. Is there anything i can buy to make this work?

dan
The DVI cable came with the TV and the end of the cable is the Red, Blue, Green connections that the X360 cable has
lunamonkey
use the "PC audio" on the TV. You might need a phono to mini-jack converter for the sound. It goes from 2 female leads (one red and one white) leads to one 3.5mm male mini jack. edit : My assumptions if you are using DVI : I take it you are using an xbox360 VGA cable and a dvi-vga converter to plug the 360 into the DVi port on the TV. The vga cable has 2 phono audio leads for audio. Use this into the PC audio in.
Brandon Live Veteran Posted December 8, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 8, 2006 He said he's using Component -> DVI... It's probably not DVI at all, as I don't think DVI can take YPbPr signals and certainly not analog ones. I think HDMI does support Component (YPbPr) signals, though. It's just rarely used. Could be that.
