Ploy
Recently I had to force restart my computer. After I restarted, I had lost all of my most recent bookmarks, and my firefox settings were all scrambled (or reset, whatever). I have not found any other problems, but I am sure they are there. Anyway, when I open firefox the window is not maximized. I ran around to all the firefox shortcuts I could find and changed the option in there, but that does not affect popping links, file>new window, or opening firefox directly from my programs file (I tried to find the 'run maximized' option on the non shortcut exe file, but I could not see it). Any idea of what I should do? (Also, I saw a few people say to open firefox, maximize the window, and close firefox again, somehow saving this as the setting - this has not worked)

Ploy
create a new profile, the current one is corrupt. run "firefox -p" for the profile manager Ugh, that sounds serious. I have created my new profile, and of course everything is set to the generic option and such. Is there any way to retrieve everything from my old profile that survived, or should I start over again? What about stuff in folders connected to my old profile (This is especially of concern to me as about 70% of the stuff on my computer is in the 'My Documents' folder of my original profile, which is restricted from my new profile). Also, should I delete the other profile, or leave it there? Alternately, is there a way to de-corrupt my profile? This did solve the maximizing problem though. (Deleting localstore.rdf) Ah, thank you very much (both of you). Things seem to be working now, so I will not continue building the new profile. I seem to have lost some of the bookmarks still, but thats not that big of a deal (I had already added new ones and reorganized them after I lost the old ones).
