Sethos
Hello Guys, I've been spending a pack of AA batteries a week now and it's getting quite annoying always to have a pair laying around for that stupid controller  So now I've been looking at that Quick Recharger and a battery pack. But I'm so confused about the Battery Pack and that Quick Recharger Unit ... Do you get a Lithium sorta' battery or does it just recharge AA batteries or what? ... I'm confused :s A side question, the cable to connect your Xbox to your Monitor ... Does that exist in a DVI edition? Why only VGA? Isn't DVI providing a more crisp picture

Hupp
yeah its a lithium rechargable battery i believe. it lasts 20-25 hours for me per charge. I would recommend to buy the AC recharger instead of the plug and play as for the vga-dvi. yeah its only in VGA, im not sure why there isn't a DVI cable, probably the same reason why there is no hdmi Edited December 10, 2006 by Hupp
daveoc64
There are two charging accessories from Microsoft. The first was the play and charge kit, it comes with one battery pack and a charging cable (USB). This allows you to plug the controller in to the console and it will charge as you play (or when you aren't). Earlier this year they released the Quick Charge kit. It plugs in to the wall and is able to charge the same battery pack as the play and charge kit (up to 2 at a time). It comes with one battery. You can also buy additional battery packs if you have more than one controller.
Sethos
Thanks for the info (Y), think I'm gonna go ahead and order the Quick Charge Kit and perhaps the Live Vision :ninja:
spike232
yeah its a lithium rechargable battery i believe. it lasts 20-25 hours for me per charge. I would recommend to buy the AC recharger instead of the plug and play The battery packs are NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) I find mine last over a week but thats only a few hours of gaming per day. But they do last longer than standard AA batteries in my experience.
kingroach
I use pair of sony batteries that I got with my camera.. I use the same charger and they last over week with 3-4 hour of gaming a day.. You can look around best buy and citcuit city for battery and charger packs which are cheaper and works better than microsoft battery pack and charger kit. DrCheese
ya.. can't we just use ordinary rechargable batteries? I have a load of those and rather try to save some cash

DR3AMxCATCHER
I'm using the plug and play that goes into my 360 and I love it more than the power outlet one.
Rodrigo
Before I bought the Play & Charge kit I used some Sony rechargeable batteries (AA 2300 mAh NMH). But I stopped using them because they dropped some kind of white dust, which obviously was toxic and could damage my controller.
Smigit
well considering the cost of rechargeable batteries for most accessories the MS batteries are extremely cheap by comparison. I know you could get some AA's cheaper but probably not ALOT cheaper.
