Wireless Headet Issues?

Recommended Posts

I spoke to the accessories team regarding the feedback from some members who have experienced issues while using the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset, including difficulty syncing the headset to the controller, reception interference and audio sensitivity. The team wanted to let you know they are committed to providing the highest quality accessories for Xbox 360 and they would like to assist in troubleshooting and resolving those issues, whether by replacing or repairing the units under warranty. If you are experiencing any of these issues with the Wireless Headset please call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX.

Anyone here have any issues with theirs?

Edit:Opps, Wireless headset  Ignore me/Delete me!

I find I'll have it plugged in from a previous session, start a game and voice will be coming out of the speakers. Plug it back in again and it works fine. Still annoying though.

From what I read in your post it doesn't seem like Microsoft is "acknowledging" andything. They're just saying that they want to help people with issues with their headsets, which any company would do with their products.

I just bought one yesterday and didn't know about this problems people were having, anyway mine doen't have any problems. One of the thing is my original controller was well wan't receiving or sending signal properly so I bought another one that might have solved the problem WHS was having with the connection.

Just got off the phone to microsoft, they said the headset is still under retailers warrenty and I need to contact the retailer to get an exchange or refund. Since i bought it from play.com their policy is that I need the invoice included with the headset which i no longer have!

Guess i'm stuck with a faulty product.

Thats great - But whats the use of a wireless headset? The cord on the standard one is long enough?

How long are your arms? :s

until you have actually used one... you shouldnt attempt to talk about it... i thought the same thing until i finally picked one with a giftcard... now i wont go back to using the standard one... after a few minutes i cant even feel that i am wearing it...

Yeah, I know the standard one is crap quality and doesnt really fit your head.

But WIRELESS? why? the cord is stuck on your controller..

Imo, theres no need for wireless.

IF the cord was to be put in the actual console instead of the controller - i could see a use for wireless

It'll be in e-mail or order history of your account on Play

I chat with RL friends a lot on XBL, so it's handy to be able to put the controller down sometimes and keep chatting. I think wired headsets are fine, though. I only bought a wireless headset because I broke my wired one.

I haven't had any issues with mine. I just have to talk a little louder than usual since the mic isn't right by my mouth anymore, but that's expected. It's actually a better piece of equipment than I thought it would be.

Actually, the fact that Major Nelson posted this regarding this specific issue means that they have acknowledged the fact that some are faulty. Previously, it was as if the problem didn't exist when people complained about it AFAIK. So there should be a difference when you call Microsoft recently regarding this issue.
