magik
Hey, congrats buddy! Jump In. :D Hang in there with the transition from KB/Mouse to Controller. You'll get there eventually! I'll be adding you, gamertag is tizmagik. :) I'm gonna need someone to do some co-op with me on Hardcore and Insane in Gears of War as I just haven't had time to beat it on those two difficulty levels yet while it seems most of my friends already have. :p

I find it easier ...is that scary or what? Heh. And I hardly touched GoW single player, and from what I've seen I don't think I can do it on Hardcore or Insane lol
LOC Veteran Posted December 18, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted December 18, 2006 Another question for you guys - does the 360 DVD player play Divx/Xvid files out of the box? I know it'll play VCD and SVCD obviously, but I'm wondering about the other formats. I haven't found anything on google :|
Sheppard
Not at the minute, you are locked to mpeg2 and wmv.

Roger H. Veteran Posted December 18, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 18, 2006 Hey LOC, hey add ThreeFive to your list for some GOW if you want me to help you walk you thru it. I'm trying to get some acheivements too so i'll play along. I finished it on Casual and Hardcore and now i'm playing it on Insane.
magik
Ah, alrighty then. And do you mean that in a future dashboard update they might add it?!? :) A lot of people are asking for it, but it's still up to them to add it or not. In the mean time, you can 'transcode' your Xvid/DivX files from your PC streamed to your 360 if you want. TVersity is just one of the tools that I can think of off the top of my head that will let you do that.
LOC Veteran Posted December 18, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted December 18, 2006 Congrats dude! Don't look past Oblivion if you're into those types of games. It's awesome! I already played through it on the PC, but seeing as its the only big RPG I know of on the 360, I went and got a used copy for $12. Heh. I never did the entire game, just the main quest and some side stuff. Plus, it'll be nice to play it "maxed" out so to speak without worry. I finished it on Casual and Hardcore and now i'm playing it on Insane. Added you a little while ago :) And I'm not sure I'm quite ready for GoW single player, its still pretty hard for me to aim and all that with the controller :| A lot of people are asking for it, but it's still up to them to add it or not. Ah sweet, I downloaded TVersity and within a few minutes I was watching the VF5 HD trailer on my TV (Y) Any other sweet programs I can search around for or anything else you guys want to recommend would be appreciated. I think that depends more so on the media that you use than anything else? I could be mistaken though, not sure.
