wastedyuthe
On certain websites, when I drag my cursor over a particular part, I get a border over it and a message. Take this example below: Why does this show on mine but not on a friends pc, even though they are using the same browser? And more to the point, how do I bypass it so I can automatically activate any controls? Thanks in advance for any help.
Rob Veteran Posted December 14, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 14, 2006 (edited) This is a specific issue with up to date Internet Explorer versions, and is by design. Due to a patent dispute, this step was added to avoid paying royalties to Eolas Technologies. It relates to an 'interactive user experience' patent granted to Eolas upon which every web browser was infringing. There's ways you can code your site to avoid it, but to my knowledge there's no way of turning the feature off on the client. wastedyuthe
That's a shame. However, thank you very much for the info. Much appreciated :)
