Which Linksys product?

If its the WGA11B, WGA54AG or WGA54G then I believe yes. Otherwise I believe no.

I really don't want to shell out a $100 for a wifi card; I do however have a Linksys (external) wifi card; could the 360 accept it?

If your a clever bunny you can usually knock something up with an access point. :)

Or if your computer has both a wireless card and an ethernet card you can bridge the two using your wireless to connect to the internet and the wired lan to connect to the xbox 360. I think you'd need a crossover cable.

pardon the ignorance, but don't most people just hook up their modems directly to the 360? oh i see, most don't have it in the same room. I'd just suggest a long cable, should make life simpler.

Then how would you hook up the rest of your computers to the Internet?

alas i am not that fotunate. one PC, one 360 gaming together in harmony. i just unplug the cable each time.

getting a switch box (router) would be preferrable.

The laptop wifi to ethernet 360 would work just fine without a crossover cable, a standard CAT5 should suffice.

For me that would be too many cables strung around the apartment and to much plugging and unplugging cables if I only had one to share. Right now on WiFi I have 2 wireless laptops, wireless Xbox 360, wireless PS2, wireless 600gigs Network Attached Storage, wireless PSP, wireless Dell Axim X51v.
