Going HD! Got a few Questions

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Since the day i first saw HD-Gaming on my TFT LCD, I've been wanting more! I just can't live without HD now.

So one of these days I'm ordering THIS , but ofcourse there's some questions regarding this purchase.

My first question is about the cables, i know absolutely nothing about it ... I got the standard cables that came with the 360 - But are there some better cables out there to increase the Image Quality ? ( All this about Component cables etc. ) What about this HDMI? I know the Xbox 360 doesen't support it but will Microsoft release it in the future? Can't find any information about that.

I also need to watch some movies in HD, so i wanted to buy the HD-DVD add-on but wasn't able to find it anywhere in Denmark. Is this product released in Europe?

Is there anything else i should consider when upgrading TV?

Thanks for any help!

There is better image quality cables then the standard, your HD and VGA cables for now. I think in a future HDMI will come along.

HD-DVD I believe is not out in Europe since they're a little behind us americans.

Yup out in the UK already if you can get your hands on one. Also you could try eBay as the HD unit itself is region free and the console itself locks down the region of discs it can play.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies! There's still no sign of the HD Unit in Denmark so I'll wait a month or two and check again.

But there's a small update to the TV, getting a Sharp Aquos 46" 46XD1E instead ( 46" HD ready LCD-TV, 1980x1080 FULL-HD, DVB-T, 2 x HDMI, TruD teknologi, 4ms ) I can't wait :D
