Dashboard Wallpaper

Wait, you can add your very own custome wallpaper onto the Xbox 360? Like a picture of me for an example? If so, how do you do that? ( since you can't transfer )

Connect a camera or a USB drive to your Xbox, and there should be an option that allows you to set as wallpaper when opening a picture.

[My current one is chief from that new Halo 3 vid :D )

Yeah, I tried it with my USB drive and it worked. The problem is finding a picture that's adequate so you can read the text...the picture I chose, I had a difficult time reading the screen.

Sumeet - did you capture the picture yourself or find it on the web?

Found on the web. :D IGN to be exact

(Text is cut off at the side so you only see logo...not using HD settings btw)

Ah, you mean the words are to stretched out/small or whatever to read it on your screen?. If so imageshack the picture and let me see.

Well if you do use a pic that's not the same resolution as your 360 is set, it will stretch to fit. Just get one that's the same resolution.

Actually, I meant the picture "blends" into the text area. If I use this picture: post-41203-1166581046.jpg

then there is too much going on in the picture so the words are difficult to read. Obviously, my choice in picture is probably bad but this is an example. It would be cool if MS would let us download tools to make our own dashboards or something.

Thanks Sumeet :) Great pictures.

Just turn up the brightness / lower the contrast on that picture and it should do fine as a background.

I doubt there will ever be any tools to make your own dashboards (apart from using 1 image as a wallpaper) since that would defeat the purpose of buying Themes on XBLM.
