martym
I have IE6 with ms java (virtual machine). If I upgrade to IE 7 will ms java will still work, do I need sun java for IE 7, is sun java installed automatically and can I have both ms java and sun java installed at the same time on IE 7 without a problem. I have read about a problems with sun java and IE 7 (IE 7 keeps shutting down and asks for a add on ) and when you uninstall IE 7 and sun java to go back to IE 6 ms java is then screwed up. Is this true and is there a problem with sun java virtual machine and IE 7. miscroft says that if a site does not work with IE 7 , there a tool to make IE7 to work with that site. Can someone explain this. Edited December 21, 2006 by martym
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted December 21, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2006 MS Java is dead, has been for a while (thank Sun and the courts for that), so i would un-install it and then install Sun Java. And i just tried IE7 with the version of Java i have installed (fairly new, one update behind current), and it worked perfectly (just had to click to activate it)
