Ragde
Hello all. I would like to know the difference between 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 of the .NET Framework. Would I need all three on my comp. for it to be working or do I just need the latest version installed? I have a few software that require .NET (XPize, CDBurnerXP etc.). Would it be alright if I installed 3.0 and removed 2.0 (current) or should I just leave it alone? Thanks in advance.
quartec
3.0 seems like 2.0 plus and updated edition if you do have soft need 3.0 ,you should installed 3.0 and removed 2.0 otherwise leave 2.
SamNeeds
Wikipedia explains it pretty well - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.net_framework#Versions
k22
they are all independent, so you only need the ones used by your applications. if you have no apps that use 2.0 or 3.0 then you don't have to install them.
Mordkanin
3.0 needs 2.0. 3.0 is just a set of extras that all use 2.0. And you should have 1.1 installed anyway.
