Smashing Pumpkin
Okay, so I've got an extra 17 inch CRT monitor so I can play my 360 at 1280 x 1024, however, I don't know how I'm going to sort out the audio, I'm gonna buy the VGA cable for xbox (official one) when i have some spare cash. Do I just buy some PC speakers and they plug into the back of the 360 or do I have to buy special speakers or additional cables. I'd prefer to do this nice and cheaply  I already got my monitor for free and I don't have too much money left cos I'm buying the cable and hard drive etc. Any help would be Greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance, Richard. devBrian
As far as I know, you need to get yourself a 2.1 system or something that has an audio input jack. Like a cheap 2.1 logitech system or something, that's what I use. Plus you need the adapter for the audio VGA/Component cables -> audio jack converter thing that you get with the VGA cables from M$
Smashing Pumpkin
Hey thanks for the quick reply. Hmm, okay, so special speakers with a right and left audio input, okay thanks, still not entirely sure, if someone could go to the trouble of posting some pics I would appreciate it. Thanks, Richard. You can use your PC speakers but you will need to have the PC on (since you will be connecting the VGA cable sound connections to the pc sound card... the cable it comes with an adaptor) or if your speakers support it, you can plug the cable directly to them.
