[X360] Question About GOW Progress

Recommended Posts

So, my brothers were in town over Christmas and wanted to see Gears of War and Vegas on the 360. Well, they wanted to run a new game and go through the training so we started up a new campaign and blah blah. This morning, I went to play my game and I started from last checkpoint. Instead of throwing me to ACT 2 which is where I left off, it started me back right after training! In all of our holiday stupor and drinking, I never thought to log myself out and put in a guest user.

So, my question is: if I load up an unlocked Act, will that affect my progress? Or, can I restart ACT 2 and still get all of the achievements and, ultimately, beat the game?

Another question: I've been playing on Hardcore since the beginning, however, when I got through ACT 1, I got the achievement for beating it on Casual and not Hardcore? What's the deal with that?

I believe that loading up an unlocked act will not affect your progress (i went back and re-did everything on hardcore) :D

About the act 1 thing, just make sure you did everything on hardcore. If you go back and load act 1 and you see it has a Cog symbol + 2 dots below it then its hardcore.
