Hurmoth Posted December 27, 2006 Share Posted December 27, 2006 A lengthy Senate investigation has debunked charges by a Republican congressman that military analysts identified Mohamed Atta and other Sept. 11 hijackers before the attacks, according to a committee aide familiar with the report.In a letter to members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sens. Pat Roberts and John D. Rockefeller dismissed suggestions by Rep. Curt Weldon that defense analysts ignored analysis that could have prevented the attacks. Roberts, a Republican, is outgoing chairman and Rockefeller is the senior Democrat who will assume the chairmanship Jan. 4 month when the new Congress convenes. They concluded "there was no evidence Mohamed Atta or any hijackers were identified prior to 9/11," said the committee aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the aide was not authorized to speak publicly on the subject. An internal Defense Department assessment already had dismissed Weldon's charges as unfounded. But the letter from Roberts and Rockefeller is the first rejection from Capitol Hill. The letter was obtained and first reported Tuesday by the Los Angeles Times. Weldon, a 10-term Republican who lost his seat in the Nov. 7 election, repeatedly contended a secret military unit called "Able Danger" searched large amounts of data to link four Sept. 11 hijackers to Al Qaeda more than a year before the attacks. In September, the Pentagon's inspector general found some employees recalled seeing an intelligence chart identifying Atta as a terrorist before the attacks. But the report said those accounts "varied significantly" and witnesses were inconsistent at times in their statements. At the time, Weldon questioned the "motives and the content" of the report and rejected its conclusions, which he said relied on cherry-picked testimony. Weldon could not be reached Tuesday for comment. According to the committee aide, Roberts and Rockefeller found similar problems in their investigation. Weldon lost his seat to Democrat Joe Sestak, a retired Navy admiral who called for troops to be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of 2007. Just weeks before the election, the FBI raided the homes of Weldon's daughter and a close friend in an investigation of whether the congressman improperly helped the pair win lobbying and consulting contracts. Also a real independent investigation into 9/11 not by people chosen by Bush. The 9/11 whitewash commission didn't even put building 7 in their book,nor did they mention that each of the Twin Towers had 47 massive steel columns in its core and 236 steel columns around the periphery. Hiding something simply means they think there's more to the story already told. Mostly lying would be your cult and that number is definitely out matched. The 9/11 commission was appointed by Bush, and the 9/11 commission has absolutely no mention of Building 7 or the steel columns in the center of WTC towers. Do the research, the first two links in my sig clearly show controlled demolition. The cores were rectangular pillars with numerous large columns and girders, measuring 87 feet by 133 feet. The core structures housed the elevators, stairs, and other services. The cores had their own flooring systems, which were structurally independent of the floor diaphragms that spanned the space between the cores and the perimeter walls. The core structures, like the perimeter wall structures, were 100 percent steel-framed. Reports on the number of core columns vary from 44 to 47. The exact arrangement of the columns is not known due to the secrecy of detailed engineering drawings of the towers. It is clear from photographs, such as the one on the right, that the core columns were abundantly cross-braced. You have a small minority of people that stand on misrepresented/false "facts" that their followers latch on to proclaiming "haha! this guy says so! It must be true. Unfortunately for us, unlike the global warming issue, the 9/11 conspiracists just keep expanding their conspiracy until everyone who doesn't agree with them is "in on it," thus ensuring that the debate will never end. The 9/11 commission again, was appointed by Bush. It was not an independent investigation! Also the 9/11 commission didn't even touch upon subjects such as the collapse of WTC 7, they totally ignore it, it's not even in their book! Operation Northwoods is a declassified document signed by the joint chiefs of staff, and is in the National archives, and was mentioned on ABC News and the Baltimore Sun. Where our own government put plans to paper to stage terror attacks in this country by hijacking planes and crashing them into buildings and blaming it on Cuba. This is documented and is FACT, our government put these sick plans to paper! This government has lied time and time again(as I have PROVEN above). (the tv documentary they made about it was quite interesting) And also, how would they wire the building with explosives, when it was filled with workers? I just stick to the facts I can prove, you clearly see demolition blast points in the videos in my sig, and the metal was no where near hot enough to collapse, thats why the smoke was black!(again look at the first two vids in my sig). Why was the majority of steel rushed overseas to Asia, why wasn't the scene dissected like a crime scene, I mean come on we dissected the scene of TWA flight 800!
