Cool Shortcut for IE7

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I've discovered a neat little trick with the "menu bar" in IE7. If you hide the menu bar (using the right click on the toolbar area) you can still see the menu bar if you press "alt"...it will show up temporailly for a one time use until you click back in the browsing area. This is great if you don't want to always see the menu bar but you still want to use it without having to enable and disable it often. Cheers.

yeah it is...but the point is that if you do need it for any reason you can just use "alt" instead of having to enable the bar and disable the bar again.

For the record, I believe this works in any previous version of IE and Maxthon, as well.

This actually works in almost every program. Press Alt+direction arrow and you can scroll through the menu bar. Down arrow to show the menu. I thought all yalls knew.

That is old, but what is NEW (as the original post says) is that the alt key will toggle the visibility of the hidden menu bar in Vista Explorer, Internet Explorer 7, and a number of other programs
