Meshuggah
This thing is cool, but gives an unfair advantage. Also, is that a modded console they are using? I hope they aren't stealing games too (but seeing most of their news posts, it's probably hacked). http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=13000 Review with videos. Positives+ Use USB or PS/2 Mouse and Keyboards on Xbox 360 + Use Playstation/Playstation 2 controllers and peripherals on the Xbox 360 + Bring turbo buttons to your Xbox 360 controller via the switch pull-downs + Strong, sleek and robust unit + Fully suitable for ?Plug & Play? with default setting + Easy to re-program buttons and create a custom key setting + Makes FPS games more enjoyable and a lot easier to play + Will have even the best of Live gamers running scared + Makes the transition from PS2 to Xbox 360 gamer seamless Negatives + Requires a wired Xbox 360 controller for the device to be detected and programmed + No on-board headset support, however could be plugged into a wired controller, the wired controller still works as well as mouse and keyboard if plugged in + It may be a great adapter, but the price tag of approximately $80 is a little steep + Potential hardware compatibility issues + WASD movement setting not programmable + A creamy white shell colouring would?ve complimented the Xbox 360 better
Trong
Lol, I suck with a mouse. $80 is crazy though. Too much even if I did want to use a mouse.
bdsams Veteran Posted December 28, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 28, 2006 i dont see how it would be a huge advantage, its not like you can scroll quicker, scroll rates are locked by the games
giga Veteran Posted December 28, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 28, 2006 i dont see how it would be a huge advantage, its not like you can scroll quicker, scroll rates are locked by the games It's not using a real mouse input, just emulates it. Wouldn't be much of an advantage unless you just really suck with controllers. :p Then again, some console FPS are just meant to be played with a gamepad--Halo a good example. The PC port of it just felt so tacked on and broken.
salis
You can cosmetically mod your console without modding it to play illegal games. I've done it to mine, it has lights and its painted black with a window, I think it looks cool. I pay for all my games however. Oh and this adapter looks pretty good im lookin at pickin one up.
