Suzuki Integrates Xbox 360 on Concept Car's Dashboard

Suzuki unveiled today its full-line of cars and SUVs at the 2006 San Diego International Auto Show. Its 2007 line-up includes the all-new XL7 midsize crossover SUV and the SX4 compact X-over.

The car manufacturer also has on display the SXBox, one of the company's all-new "Suzuki LIVE Series" brand-dedicated concept vehicles based on the 2007 SX4 that are specially designed for life enthusiasts, adventurers and thrill-seekers.

The SXBox is designed for video game enthusiasts. What console could Susuki choose for the SXBox other than the best selling next-gen system?

The SXBox is equipped with a dashboard-integrated Xbox 360 video game system, coupled with a close proximity digital projection system to display games or watch a HD DVD movie on the interior of the vehicle's retractable hood, which can be enabled by the push of a button.

A second Xbox 360 powers two separate LCD screens in the seat backs of the SXBox for rear passengers. In addition, the SXBox is equipped with a 30-inch retractable rear projection screen in the cargo area.

All this Xbox 360 paraphernalia is complemented with force-feedback front seats with four wireless controllers, including a steering-wheel-mounted gaming control for the driver, and a multi-channel surround sound system.

The vehicle?s interior features a game-inspired color and recessed LED emitters to brighten the interior of the vehicle.

How can you see? :| Coolers are always on the back side of the 360, right?

All the airholes are covered up?

EDIT: And Meshuggah, it's common sense on ANY console to not block any airholes, why do you think they are there? to look good?

Uh... well, I can see plenty of ventilation in the first pics (360 in the front).

And I suppose there is room on the sides of the second 360 (back seats).

All I see is the front of the 360 and little bit of the side, anyway, I sure hope there is some sort of ventilation.

This one looks heaps better then the Nissan one from the outside, but not sure about the inside  still interesting concept :)

They're both ugly IMO :x

Why not do something more suttle, like remove the entertainment panel from a BMW, and put in an Xbox 360 there?

An Xbox 360 is cool now, but what about 5 years from now? In 2004, a car with a built-in Xbox would have been cool. But what about now?

Yeah... arn't yopu not supposed to change the 360 from horizontal to vertical positions whilst playing, nevermind doing donuts in the local pre school car park drinking cider?

whoever did the design of that car deserves to be fired... :pinch: :x

it has no style, there's no sense of "unity" and the geometry of the design is nowhere to be found... and color scheme, well, makes me puke...

check this one from Fiat...
