smart001
I looked around for the answer to this but could not find it. I hope someone can help. I am trying to play Killzone (PS2) on my PS3 and I want to play online. After I go to the Online section the PS3 does some checks and comes up with this message: "NO YOUR NETWORK CONFIGURATION FILE FOUND" "Please insert a memory card (PS2) into MEMORY CARD slot one that contains a Your Network Configuration File or create a Your Network Configuration File using the network adaptor start-up disk" I do not know WTF the PS3 is talking about. what is the network adaptor start up disk, where can I get one or better yet, is there a way I can do this on my PC on the internet or something and upload it to the PS3. Thanks for your help.

Meshuggah
Wonder why they don't have a list and just a search. I guess they don't want people knowing how many titles are incompatible :/

MGS4-SS
There are games (like the SOCOM games) that let you do the network configuration through the game. You might want to check with one of those games (if you have them).

smart001
Finally got a reply, plugged in SOCOM and sure as heck, it had a network configuration thing that made it work. Now I can get my butt kicked at Killzone all day. Good news if you don't have a SOCOM game, read the message below for an easy way to get a network disk. Hello Steven,Thank you for writing us. If you misplaced, damaged, or did not receive your Online start-up disc, you may still be able to configure your network setting and play online. Most online-ready software titles, i.e., SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs (broadband users only), will have the network configuration software pre-programmed into the disc. Thus, you will not require an Online start-up disc to connect online with your Network Adaptor (Ethernet/Modem) (for PlayStation®2). Please check with the specific game manuals for additional information. In addition, if you have a friend with an Online start-up disc, you can use their disc to access the network configuration setup. However, please keep in mind that you will still need your very own Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) with 137kb of free space to save your personal network configuration along with your own Network Adaptor and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Lastly, if you would like for us to mail you a free Online start-up disc*, you can email us the following information: 1. Your Full Name 2. Complete Mailing Address 3. Phone Number (including area code) 4. State the Item Requested (Online start-up disc) 5. Serial Number of the Network Adaptor (located below Model # SCPH 10281). However, if you have the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system (model numbers SCPH-70011CB and SCPH-70012CB) we would need the Model Number and Serial Number of your PlayStation 2 console. Serial Number begins with the letters "PK", followed by nine numbers. 6. Date of Purchase of the Network Adaptor *Note: Although Online start-up disc are free, we may be limited to stock/inventory on hand. In instances where we do not have any available stock, we will hold on to your personal mailing information (once received), and ship out the Online start-up disc to you as soon as new stock/inventory becomes available. We appreciate your patience.
