Tomoko
Ouch! Did you know ice makers have a heating coil in them? I didn't but I do now. I was cleaning the freezer and the top of my hand touched the bottom of the icer maker...a few seconds later I was running to the sink to run water over my blistered finger and wondering wtf just happened. Looked it up and learned there is a coil that heats up to loosen the ice when it's ready to be ejected. You know you're having a bad day when you get burned reaching into your freezer. That's the last place I expected to find a burning hot coil. They should put a guard over that thing so stupid people like me don't touch it. (though this might make a great frivelous lawsuit) Danielx64 1 Share

Tomoko
Now that I think about it I don't know why I didn't just quickly stick my hand down in the ice tray instead of going all the way to the sink. Reflex action I guess (or maybe confusion over why the ice was burning me).
MasterC
Why'd you run to the sink? Couldn't you just put your hand in the ice? ;)
