Slane
Carban excellent game. :) Anyways I got the two middle territories and working on 21st ones, but they alot better than my RX8. Anyone got any suggestions for cars to use? I got Kenji's boss car (RX7 Tier 2) but the upgrades that I could do to it, didn't make any difference or very slim to none. So just wondering if anyone's got any car i should buy, or is there a way to take my RX8(Tier 1) to like Tier 2 and supped it up on that level? Just keep getting my ass kicked and if it wasn't for my drafter (who's car is super fast) I would loose alot of races. Any suggestions or help I could get? Well your Tier 1 RX-8 won't be much help and no it can't be upgraded to Tier 2. You sure you upgraded the RX-7 completely? I didn't have that much trouble, I also had the RX-8 and RX-7 but when I got to the 21st ones I had a Tier 3 WRX STi (which destroyed them) Are any of the Tier 3 cars unlocked? if they are get one, if not all I can think of is make sure your RX-7 is fully tuned and try to learn all the shortcuts (or if possible use a scout wingman). Sorry I couldn't be that much help.
Slane
How did you come about to get the WRX STi? Did you have to do something to unlock it or was it one of the random boss cards?
Xerxes
How did you come about to get the WRX STi? Did you have to do something to unlock it or was it one of the random boss cards? Good question, it was a while ago...I think it was unlocked by beating one of the territories (as beating a territories give you; part or car or paint etc (it will tell you in the description)) I just looked it up, it's unlocked in the city of Silverton so take a look in there, one of the territories reward for beating it should be the WRX STi, I hope that helps. Slane
It is but I can't race there only in 21st street ares, that's the only option I have. Bought the Supra off Live Marketplace, my dream car so worth it plus it's Tier 3 just need to get upgrades for it, and I'll be set. :) Edited January 1, 2007 by Slane
Xerxes
It is but I can't race there only in 21st street ares, that's the only option I have. I see your problem, hmmm but I do remember using the WRX STi in the 21st areas..perhaps I only used it to finish off the ones I didn't complete after I beat that city, I'm puzzled now! :p Well I must of used the RX-7 then to finish it, as I said before make sure it is fully upgraded and learn the shortcuts, the CPU players normally go the long way around so you can make up some time using the shortcuts (there will be a few CPU players that will follow you through the shortcuts but you can usually block them from passing you) I tend to use a scout or blocker wingman which I find helps, the drafter is ok but I never got the hang of them so I usually don't use them :p It is but I can't race there only in 21st street ares, that's the only option I have.Bought the Supra off Live Marketplace, my dream car so worth it plus it's Tier 3 just need to get upgrades for it, and I'll be set. :) or you could do that :p I tried to avoid buying the cars you can unlock yourself but that is just me. Only problem there is you might not have any Tier 3 upgrades available as they are usually unlocked when the Tier 3 cars are available (still you could purchase the unlock key off the XBMP to unlock Tier 3 upgrades..but I'd recommend avoiding it though as it will spoil the experience) Still in the stock or slightly upgraded form it should be faster then a fully upgraded Tier 2 car, good luck! Slane
Yup, Supra is doing fast but I'm starting to get annoyed at how many times I have to defend my territories. My friend is abotu 20% ahead of me game and has only had to defend 4 times where as I'm going on my 15th time. I hate this.

Well glad to hear your doing well now :) I think the defeading territory thing is random, I've completed the main career mode and only defended my territory about 10 times maybe, good luck! Xerxes
+2 to defend territory. /sighAny tips on how to change settings to drift? I didn't :p just try to avoid using the brakes (as they often do more bad then good) and get a good line..mind you I'm probably the worst drifter :p still I managed to still pass the events (just) :)

Sn4k36
this game was so easy it's not funny... I've beaten the first 52% of the game just using the stock Camaro
v0ltage789
Yea truthfully upgrading your cars is really just for you to have fun with, the AI scales to your car's performance.
Slane
Stuck at a crossroad again, can't beat any races since I don't have enough upgrades for the Tier 3 parts. Just going to have throwing myself at the races and hopefully win.
Xerxes
Stuck at a crossroad again, can't beat any races since I don't have enough upgrades for the Tier 3 parts. Just going to have throwing myself at the races and hopefully win. You'll be right. One thing that I like (but I admit, it does make the game too easy) is it doesn't matter if you don't cross the finish line first, as long as you or a crew member cross the line first, you win. So if your having trouble, try a different crew member with a faster car. Also with the races that you can't have a crew member in (i.e. Boss races, Canyon events, Drift) I find the best trick is to get into first anyway you can and then just a matter of keeping it (which is quite easy on the Canyon events as there isn't much space to move to begin with :p) and Drift you focus on the required score for the race nothing else (as I've discovered that even if you have the winning current score, you can still end up losing as the AI score "magically" jumps a few thousand points once you cross the finish line..but if you focus on the required score...you win (almost) every time ;) )
