Call of Duty 3

Recommended Posts

I am trying to play CoD3 online which I used to be able to do no prob, but now I keep on getting a 'cannot connect to all players' message! I've had the problem for about 24 hours now and have no problems with Gears or Ghost Recon.

Any ideas would greatly help.

How do you connect to live?

Do you have a router, if so which one, is UPNP enabled (allows the xbox to map incoming ports automaticlly as needed)

have you tryed rebooting the router (if your using one).

I thought there was a recent cod3 update that was supposed to fix the connecting issues people are having.

I've not had problems with cod3 but then i tend to host games more often than trying to join them.

If i remember i'll try it later (mates using my 360 atm)

Its because you haven't opened the right ports, thats why 99% of the time people can't connect. Run the Xbox Live connection test, it should say NAT "OPEN", if not, theres your problem

AFAIK, 360 dosent do UPNP, at least mine dosent map them

Yes UPNP is enabled. My modem is pretty much allways on, I will try rebooting that to see if that makes much difference.

I hope this isn't one of those times when an update fixes 99% of problems for everyone else but causes problems for me :(

Oh well cheers for the help!

On the connection test it says that NAT is open. It used to be closed but I opened it months ago!

i had the same problem.

If you are using a router and it has a DMZ option then Enable that (Demillitarised Zone)

Also open the following ports through port forwarding or whatever

UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074

That should solve the problem, mint works 100% all the time now, it never says joining forever and doesnt say unable to connect.

It turns out that a simple thing like turning my modem off and then on again can sort out all my problems :D

because it seems to be working now, how silly is that?

Thanx for all your help guys!
