Tom-Hughes
Hey. I have my xbox 360 and my computer plugged into the same tv, my computer runs on 60hurtz and is plugged into the VGA port on my tv, works fine. however, my xbox 360 is plugged into the scart socket, and if i change the hertz from the default 50 to 60 (since not all games are compatable with 50 hertz) i get distorted colours "ie red colours flash from red to green". any suggestions? my tv is NOT hd, just a 20 inch LCD. thanks. Roger H. Veteran Posted December 31, 2006 Veteran Share Posted December 31, 2006 umm i think cuz SCART is 50Hz, you can't run it via 60Hz ...
HawkMan
umm i think cuz SCART is 50Hz, you can't run it via 60Hz ... well my 360 works just fine on my old TV here over SCART set to PAL60. I suspect it'll be nicer when I get home after the holiday and hook it up top my 720p LCD tv though :) But yeah, PAL60 works over scart just fine.might be an issue with the scart used in the LCD tv though, because it's LCD they may have saved a few bucks by using cheap circuitry that only accepts standard 50hz signals on that one. Metal Blood
Is it the propper scart you are using or the RGB scart block because the RGB scart block is not a true scart and I don't think that accepts 60Hz. Not 100% sure though! Also my TV has two scart sockets and one is labeled AV and the other is labeled RGB, I think only the AV socket accepts 60Hz but again I might be wrong. lol Edited December 31, 2006 by Metal Blood
