PGR3 Questions

Oh my! Ok, first of all.. does anyone have any tips towards doing a Cone Challenge on Platinum? I've managed to get through all the cones without crashing, and still keep my combo, but the best I can get seems to be about 8000ish with a target of 13000. I'm throwing in a few braking moves.. but theres not really any room to do any moves where I can get some serious points happening. :\ Any tips?

Second, the Style Racer Achievement:

25m Powerslide - is that any of the sliding moves? Or is it actually called a Powerslide? And how will I know when its 25m? :\ According to General Statics, my longest slide is 189metres. So that means I've done it?

25k Online Kudos - is this total? Or in a race? :s

Kudos for every maneuver - Does anyone have a list.. apparently I haven't done this yet :(

Using manual for cone challenges is the key. Use a quick car (something like the Ultima), knock it into 2nd and do a small e-brake turn between the cones. Getting Platinum is a matter of stringing a load of moves together to get the Kudos multiplier away up. You always have plenty of time.

You'll never do it in auto, as it keeps changing gears meaning the car is harder to swing about.

25k Online Kudos is a total, you're probably missing the 10x combo, which you should get in cone challenge using my method.

Nah I've already got the 10x combo (surprisingly!). I think it might be the all kudos thing.

And cheers for the manual tip, up to 10,000. Will get there eventually :)

You don't need to do it in manual, I never and completed all the races on Platinum. Like Pilsbury said, use cars like the Ultima or if you have enough money, buy the Porche supercar. It's very fast and makes the cone challeneges much easier

Using manual definitly isnt necessary nor does it provide an advantage in cone challenge unless it's just more comfortable for you. If you like automatic thats fine, I used the ultima GTR for all the cone challenges, just tap the ebrake and keep the combos goin, if you tap a cone or a wall you are done, start over. It's all about stringing the combos together, if you are really good your combo counter will read zero till you cross the finish line, or some really low number, and then it hits at the end :D

Also, if you find yourself running out of time, look for sections where you can snake very quickly through the cones without ebraking, to make up for the lost time.

Manual does provide an advantage IMO, as it stops the shifting up / down and makes the car far easier to slide about and keep under control.

I've never ran out of time on a cone challenge using my method.
