InfamousCivic
Hey, I'm looking to buy a Wireless Adapter for my 360, but I'm hesitant because of the ridiculous price. Any other solutions? Ways to be more cost effective? Any Third-Party Hardware? Or simply any sites that offer it for a cheaper price? (I'm located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) A sincere thanks in advance. Shadrack
It is at a ridiculous price but I would go with the official adapter from Microsoft if I were you. The price may be steep but for some (like me) it is worth it when compared to the amount of effort properly wiring cat5 to your x360 would take. As for performance I've heard pretty consistently that wired > wireless... but I don't think it is wired >> wireless. It will likely add ~15-30ms to your game latency, but this is just an off the top of my head guess at the moment. Video and audio will stream just fine, but I haven't tried streaming high-definition yet so I'm not sure how well that would work. The connection is 54mbps (if you have the router for it), so even high-definition should stream fine if it is a clear solid connection.
