Need for Speed Carbon Problems

Recommended Posts

I just picked up this title from best buy on sale a few days ago for 37.99, and it is a pretty fun game but I am having a few issues and I am curious if it just me because all the reviews I have read do not mention them.

Framerate: The framerate is very spiratic, especially on the canyon routes, it never actually freezes, but it fluctuates so much sometimes it almost looks like slow motion, and it screws me up every now and then.

Photomode: About 50 percent of the time, my xbox will lockup when I am on the "uploading photo to need for speed.com" screen.

I have never had any problems with any other games. Am I just experiencing typical EA cross platform crappiness?

Thanks!

I can't say I've experienced all your said problems, but yes I have experienced the frame-rate issues, it is rarely smooth and jumps all over the place. I first experienced this problem on NFSHP2 (PC and Xbox) and every NFS after it (regardless of platform played on), personally I feel EA has become very slack and rather then make a solid engine they just make a sub-standard one and port it to every conceivable platform to make as much money as possible, which is sad really :(
