Thanks, looks like I'll have to start over?

I wouldn't. Try becoming a master romancer for a few of the easier species. That should give you enough XP to level up. Also, try to maximize the growth in as many different types of plants that you can using fertilizer. You'll probably find a few plants that can bring in lots of cash while doing that, too.

I'd give more hints but I don't want to spoil anything for you.

I own the game...bought the nifty case and collectors edition; my fiance wanted the demo cd for some reason (haha). I love the game, I'm currently on a level 23 gardener and need to start playing again...

My personal opinion is that I'll never own this game, and I will most likely never try it. Perhaps if I'm paid... It's NOT my cup-o-tea, in any way, and I find that adults are actually playing this, ridiculous. PLX NO FLAEM! Just my opinion.

I don't understand why everybody has to trash Michael, when all he did was to state his opinion. HE didn't start anything, the rest of you did, because you're addicted to fuzzy paper-mach? ponys.

Thanks for proving my point. The more you post here shows how you're just in this thread to annoy others because you have no real life and no friends to hang out with.

Just keep sitting there behind the safety of your monitor talking trash on an INTERNET FORUM. Just keep living in that dream world of yours in your mind where you think you're better than everyone. rolleyes.gif

What a clich?. It's pretty evident that you're grasping at straws, because that lame insult is all you've got. When you ain't got nuffin' else, you can always go off-road and make presumptions about a person. What do you know about his private life? Gawd partna', you gotz nuthin'... At least make a funny metaphor like "You be like Spiderman, cus you' only tough on the web" or something like that. The other thing is just sad.

Speaking of living in dream worlds, who of the two of you are playing Viva Pi?ata? Mkay pumpkin.

I know Michael in real life, and he is not as you described. Sure, he is a big cuddley teddy bear with cutez eyez, but he says his opinion, be it in real life or on the intarwebs.

Glad to know some people still enjoy my silly comments on this board..:blush:s:happy:p:yes:es:

You silly monkey!

@ MichaelBL: When a company starts creating a game the first thing they do is to set the target audience as a first and high priority to guide the development of the project; VP was created for people who enjoy relaxed gameplay, this can be noticed on its gameplay as the game is open ended and there's no goals to follow or rules of engagement as to what the gamer wants to accomplish but is always rewarded for trying to go deeper into it and try discover new ways to accomplish certain tasks. The art direction of the game is superb and the music score sets the tone for any gamer just to sit down and enjoy. VP is not a kiddy game per se, for some people the start of the game may be a little slow and many will think there’s no story behind it but as soon as you start progressing thru the game you’ll be given some pieces of the story about what’s going on in Pi?ata Island and why you’re there petting crepe paper animals.

... Viva Pi?ata isn't a childrens game? Target is "people who enjoy relaxed gameplay"? Do we really need to introduce Cpt. Obvious to this post?

captain_obvious.jpg

Cpt. Obvious "Obviously this game is for the younger audience. The cartoony look to this game, mixed with the cartoony character voices and language, not only hints that this is a kids game, it actually slams this statement to the wall, with nine inch nails. The work with "4Kids Entertainment" is also quite a big fat indicator of this. (4Kids Entertainment is the devils behind works such as Pok?mon and the likes). Viva Pi?ata will be hosted as an early morning kids-show on television, and as a result of this, toys and merchandise is being made. Furthermore, the advertising of Viva Pi?ata, is so obviously pointed at kids, that I won't even describe how obvious this is.

When adult (more or less) gamers enjoy this game, it is without doubt because they can escape the real world, and create a fuzzy, colorfull world, without all the terrors of their daily lives. Some people are frustrated by this, but yet they can thrive fine, as long as they aren't verbally assaulted, as soon as they share their opinions towards the game. This appears to happen, and it will clearly distant them further from the game, and the people playing Viva Pi?ata.

Obviously, THAT's obvious."quot;

Why, thank you Cpt. Obvious.

I've learned to ignore kiddies like you so you're being ignored right now. Lose the "gangsta talk" then maybe you'll be taken seriously "partna'"

The only thing I'll say is that the argument ended a while ago and that you're a little late. Having your say now is just going to start new arguments.

This forum is so cewl!

Whenever we don't want to deal with something/listen to something, we can just stuff our ears with our fingers and sing "LALALALALALALALA!" and brush it off with, "U NO SPEAK PROPAR ENGLISH".

I've learned to ignore kiddies like you so you're being ignored right now. Lose the "gangsta talk" then maybe you'll be taken seriously "partna'"

You don't know alot of gansters do you...? Seriously, what the effin' has my language got to do with any of this? First off, read the whole thing... I don't use it all the way through. Secondly, it's only there to enhance the point and the overall lameness of the situation.

Would it be okay if I used terms like "LOLROFL" instead? I'm not a geek, therefor I don't write like one. And what the... Gangsta talk?

You, a nobody, is thrashing my friend on the internet, without any reason or substance behind it. And when you are such a <censor>, then I really doubt that you have the right to talk like that, to ANYBODY. You can't really say anything besides "you have no friends" and when you haven't got a comeback, to a confrontation you say "kiddies like you, blahblah, ignore". Obviously you can't handle. (Don't MAKE me get Cpt. Obvious again). What do you base me being one of those infamous "kiddies" on? How dare you call me a kiddie, you're a 27 year old guy, playing kiddie games. Oh god, the ignorance.

Yeah, the debate is a couple of days old, but so what? I still have an opinion about the matter, and I first found out about this today. I could understand if it was weeks old, then I wouldn't write anything. But c'mon... It is just a couple of days.

IP checking will be a good thing to do here...

Why is it BS? Because it strides against your own opinion?

Not entirely sure I understood that post, but I haven't been a member of this forum before.

But don't worry about me being around here much. I'll most likely let you live in your own little world, where you can pick out what you want to talk about and respond to, and ignore the rest, that you haven't got any answers for.

Why would I wan't to be on this part of the community, if it consists of members bitching because some random guy doesn't like Viva Pi?ata? It's a silly little game, so what?

If you're friend was that offended by someone's online post, who's the bigger loser? Come on now, I don't think I've EVER gone up to one of my friends in real life and said "dude, that guy on neowin totally ****ed me off. Can you make an account on there and back me up?"

It's laughable.

Who the hell says he did?

I was over at his place when he was reading some of your replies, here on Neowin. I was looking too, and asked him what was up with all the ******s flaming him. He told me that he used the word "pathetic" about Viva Pi?ata. I then thought to myself that I wanted to share my opinion.

... Oh god, you really are a bunch of pathetic beings in here. How 'bout you guys stop assuming so much, and start saying things that are relevant or in context? What kind of stupid attemp at a cheap was that?

It wasn't, but I don't think I've ever seen someone have a friend come in to "back him up." So yes, I made an assumption. Let's turn it around on you and put you in my shoes. If you WEREN'T his friend and read your same posts, wouldn't you probably assume the same thing?

It wasn't a cheap shot. Also, how do you know Vivia Pinata is a childrens game? Are you also in that percentage of gamers with an opinion on a game they have never played? Is Sim City a children's game? You make wild accusations just as much about a video game you have never played, and then get offended when people who have actually played the game decide to form an opinion based on actual gameplay.

Excuse me, I guess I am wrong again, but I am done with this thread. No more posts from me. Enjoy your stay here at neowin. I'm sure you will enjoy every last bit of it. ;)

Okay... Yes, guess you're right... But... LOOK BEHIND YOU! A THREE HEADED MONKEY!

I came in here, because some guy (you or some other), was saying that Michael didn't have any friends in real life. Well, gues I'm living proof eh?

Just wanted to shut that guy up.

I've SEEN Viva Pi?ata. I really think that it's enough for me. I've seen the interactive vid and some gameplay vids, and I can only state that It's a childrens game. If you wan't more on this, go read what Captain Obvious had to say, in my first post. It IS pretty obvious.

How can you compare Sim City and Viva Pi?ata... So because you build up stuff, two games can't be in the same genre, without being entirely the same? The language and use of words is way different. The difficulty, the graphics and the whole settings. So "Lego Creator" is not a childrens game, because you build houses, like in Sim City? Not a valid argument.

Meh screw it. I said my part now...

^ Nope, it's not really a kids game. Yes, it was meant to be, but I honestly couldn't imagine most kids getting anywhere with this game.

I'm not insulting you. I completely understand why you would think it's a game only kids would enjoy. It seems like someone from marketing saw how colorful the game was and decided to give it a new identity and force it into being a kids game, but they didn't convince Rare to change the gameplay much.

I agree. Some of the game I wouldn't think kids would understand ether.

I've only read the replies on this page, but for what it's worth, I enjoyed Viva Pinata infinitely more than I did SimCity, The Sims, or any other "sim" game on the market.

A children's game it most certainly is not.

MichaelBL - Posted on Jan. 4th 2007. This was BEFORE I entered the thread:

Ever heard of FRIENDS?! Nah, not you Had a few friends over who played the game.

This was said to Meshuggah. MichaelBL implied he had no friends. This is why I threw the "no life or friends" comment into his face. He attacked someone with the same attack and I threw it back at him.

I made my original comment where I said he had no life or friends that same day, an hour later.

Read the entire thread and you'd see that he came in here and started talking garbage and I called him on it. He came in just to annoy others, plain and simple. Now you're doing the same. I have a theory on why you're doing the same actually.

Honestly I think you're one in the same and you created a seperate account to have your say while the real MichaelBL account doesn't get warned incase you go too far in what you say in a post.

"Hey...I'll create a seperate account and make it look like I'm a friend of mine taking up for me. My real account will be left alone because it's "my friend" saying the things and not me. Yeah...my master plan is complete"

Would have been more believable if this "friend" would have done this at the time the argument was going on instead of waiting a couple days. The guy was so upset that he would actually wait 3 days and show his friend what was said about him? Now if I were actually that pathetic of a person that I couldn't speak up for myself on an INTERNET FORUM of all places and I felt the need to get friends involved they'd have been in here as it was happening and not 3 days after the fact when the argument was long dead.

Think things out first. I believe Spartan also believes you're one in the same from his one comment.

If you have any maturity in you, you'll end it here. I ended my part a long time ago until "you" came in here. I know how to defend myself and I don't need outside help.

Oh dammit. I've missed that somehow... Don't I feel silly.

Read the entire thread and you'd see that he came in here and started talking garbage and I called him on it. He came in just to annoy others, plain and simple. Now you're doing the same. I have a theory on why you're doing the same actually.

I can assure you that I'm not MichaelBL. How, I don't know... You can get my MSN, you can get some pic's. That's about all I can do.

I doubt Michael is that stupid. I mean, you can probably run IP checks (like Spartan mentioned), and see which IP the members are using. Go ahead and do that, someone.

"Hey...I'll create a seperate account and make it look like I'm a friend of mine taking up for me. My real account will be left alone because it's "my friend" saying the things and not me. Yeah...my master plan is complete"

Master plan? Again, grasping at straws?

Don't be stupid... It's just a disussion over the internet. I really don't think he cares anymore. It is that kind of lame presumptions, that makes me really despise you. It's like that your final word, is the law and is, what really is. Stop that.

Would have been more believable if this "friend" would have done this at the time the argument was going on instead of waiting a couple days. Don't you think that if Michael where to actually do so, he would have done this, as you mentioned, at the same time of the argument?

Why are you taking this back to Michael now? I told you already, that Michael didn't "call" me in here. And that'll be the last word about that.

Think things out first. I believe Spartan also believes you're one in the same from his one comment.

Eh, who cares? I would love to help prove you wrong here, but only for Michaels sake, since he is a regular user in here. Personally I don't give two squirts of peepee.

If you have any maturity in you, you'll end it here. I ended my part a long time ago until "you" came in here. I know how to defend myself and I don't need outside help.

I don't need to prove my maturity to you, in any way. I'm pretty confident about myself, and I know my maturity... That's enough for me :)
