I own it. Visually very nice, but I feel it would be better suited to the PC than the console (especially with the controls and the amount of reading you have to do, which means I have to constantly move closer to the TV to see it).

And it can get too "cutesy" at times. I know it's probably aimed at children, but I feel it would be too complicated for most of them.

I'd probably rather sit down and play SimCity 4, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 or Theme Park World than Viva Pi?ata.

3/5

the game is not for kids.. too much resource management and you have to do multitusking a lot ( when you have largest size garden at level 20).. I couldnt get the foxes to eat ducks.. I tried a lot and then I just gave up..

well i got it :D and i killed everything the pop ups ****ed me off .... so ill have to start a new garden

LOL, I may have to also.. my garden doesn't attract many things anymore as there has been too many fights :(. Why is there a limit on the amount of one item you can place in the garden?

^ If your garden is full, you won't attract any new pinatas, they dont like it, they are fussy little sugar filled treats. I found the best thing to do is keep selling the pinatas you dont breed / dont need anymore. Plant only the newer stuff, and the things you need to attract a pinata in. + with the fights, some pinatas really dont get along, like zumbugs and chewnicorns, they were fighting so much i had to build a fence down the middle of the garden to seperate them, then my bloody sprinkling kept leaving the gate open...good times!

Anyone play this with their significant others?

I initially considered this game for my future wife but then I played a used copy at GameCrazy and I like it.

So does anyone out there play together with their significant others and take advantage of the fact that both controllers can control the game? Is it fun and worthwhile to play together like that?

If so, I'll probably buy it tonight. :)

^ I don't know. It's not like you both can do something at the same time. You'll have to take turns working on the garden even though you each have your own controllers.

If anything, you'll just be happy when she finally gets off the 360. Sometimes I have to wait hours (or so it seems like) for her to get finished with her garden so I can use my (!) 360.

I know you can't do something at the same time but we will both control what's going on. So it seems like it would be fun to sit down together and create your own turns with each other instead of letting the game decide.

I think it'll be fun for us to play together. I've pretty much made up my mind about getting it. Now I just need to find it in stock around here.
