UK 360 Game Rental

Recommended Posts

I've used them for some time now. I was really impressed with them at first, but I've had a few issues that have changed my opinion to far less favourable.

For one, I've had 3 games supposedly go missing in the post, always when being sent back to them. The first time I didn't have a proof of posting so they gave me option to pay for the game or lock me into another 6 months of service, so I chose the latter. The other times I had proof but I'm not totally convinced that so many games could have gone missing as the post service is pretty reliable around here. Of course, each time this happens, it means no new game for a week or two as first you have to wait to see if it arrives, then you have to post them the proof of posting and then wait for them to process it before you get another game. Lots of time wasted = paying for no service.

The other problem has been with the actual game choices. I built a large list up of about 30 games, as rental services like you to maintain a decent sized list. Their list is in order of priority, with 1 obviously being the highest. At first I got games near the top of my list, but then they started dropping positons - 3, 5, 7... all the way down to #12 by which time it was a game I really wasn't that interested in and only had it on there just in case. All the while their "stock" indicators were showing green for "plenty" on all of my top 10. I have to say this really annoyed me until I gave up, wiped my list and kept a shorter one of only the games I really wanted. So far, this seems to have worked as I finally got the game I had at #1 for 3 months.

The upside? They are cheaper than other services, with a ?7.99 a month service for up to 2 rentals per month (plenty most of the time). So if you are careful to always ask for a proof of posting (this means posting the discs back at a post office) and keep a relatively short list of only the games you really want to play, then I still recommend them with caution.

Well i work at the post office so no worries there. Do they have a minimum contract, id like to try a few games at first. Where are they based ?

No, there is no contract, you can unsubscribe anytime, you obviously have to send the games you have back to them first, though.

And they are based in Northampton.
