I hope you realize I'm a newsposter. You can't get anything from me by sucking up :D

I wasn't sucking up...I love being a normal member with no privileges (well except for the subscriber ones) :D

faster browsing/removal of flood control

Less flood control would be nice, the only time I get hit by flood control is if I post something and go to edit it right away because I notice something wrong then flood control hits me and someone has already quoted me before I could change it. But really this is my fault I should always use a browser with spell check and read over my posts before I add them instead of after.

more PM space, more upload storage, larger avatars/signatures (beyond 20k/50k)

I rarely get PMed unless it's about an invite to something so PM space means nothing to me. More upload space would be nice I would probably use it. The 20k/50k limit on avatars/signatures is mostly for our 56k uses is it not? As much as more features would be cool I'm a subscriber because I want to support Neowin slowing it down for others isn't something I want to do.

pop3 email

I have no need for the email

quicker removal of warnings

this is probably the last thing I would want, just because were paying a little extra dosen't mean we should be able to get away with more. I may be thinking to harsh though I have never got a warn so I don't know what it's like.

more recognition

I like the idea not sure what exactly I would want though.

ad free

I barely notice the ads, the main reason I subscribed to Neowin is to support Neowin, I want the ads there so I can support Neowin as much as possible.

Really I subscribed because I have got a lot of info and learned a lot from this site, I try to give back. The total cost of the subscription for me was just under $16 CND I would have no problem with paying $40ish.

Removal (or at least desensitising) the flood control.

Really annoys me when I open multiple topics in tabs and attempt to reply to them sequentially. I always get hit with flood protection messages. It's really quite annoying.

No offense to the coders, but this has been in the works for a good long time now, so I wouldn't worry to much about it being bad timing. However, now that I have said that.. it might happen any second. :D

At any rate it's all about supporting the site anyway so timing can never be bad for that. Right?

In this instance, you aren't waiting on the coders. We have not been given any word from Administration on the new packages, or to enable features (such as blogs), so we have no authority to do so.

I did think they weren't high priority...I would rather wait for Neowin HQ to get it right for the members then to rush it and there be poor packages.

I hope the banstick won't hit me for posting in a semi-old topic. But I'd personally love to see a new package. An upgrade option would be nice if new subscriber package were to become available. I like the idea of having multi-tier packages. Not to be demanding or anything, but I would love to be able to have an ad-free Neowin, if Neobond and the others didn't mind. Of course, I know with that we'd have to pay more, but I'd show my support here.

Hope to hear some feedback soon!

Personally POP3 email accounts and an ad free skin is what I would look forward to. I have a large number of email accounts however it is nice to have a seperate account for things either related to Neowin, or to simply give to people as a way of advertising neowin :) - Also, ads annoy me. Even if its simple and clean Google Adsense ads I would prefer to have a clear skin, free of such ads.

I am just a new subscriber (only subscribed about 5 mins ago), and so far I am happy... you get more storage for PM's and "secret forums" :shiftyninja: , but personally I just like to be recognised as a supporter via the badge and + infront of my uname. :)

What I'd love to see are options to edit and delete our posts, no matter how old they are. Also, there should be an option to remove the "This post has been edited by..." text., if we edited our own post. Many forums with multi-tier packages have included these options.

Yes. Imagine how much a thread can get screwed up if people are quoting/replying to what you said and you remove your post. Now imagine what happens when you delete threads you started: that's a ton of people's replies lost.

I'd pay $30/yr for no ads, a "thanks to ____" page, and some other perks ... I don't use the email (I have my own) or the blog (I keep my feelings bottled up) ... so faster browse times, longer edits would be good.

Are warnings auto expired after 6 months? I think that's a little too long say for instance a clone of Satan gets 100% for something simple like... trolling for example, that means they'll have to wait 2 1/2 years for 0% If it was to reduce after 3 months only it would be 1 1/2 years. :)

Are you saying a subscriber should have less warning reductions?...if so then its not technically a good idea.
