:: Lyon ::
Okay, yesterday I really tried using Firefox for the first time. I mean, I've used it here and then, but never bother of people saying about how the extensions are so useful and great. I've always used Opera and IE7 for I guess years?.. I then reinstall the new Firefox and start browsing the extensions, and man, I'm surprised! I have these extensions installed and play around with them: - FireFTP (I can just click a button in firefox and connect to my 2 favorite FTP servers for web maintenance thingies). No more need to open up Filezilla, etc. - I have an extension that easily detect any video on the page and by clicking an icon on the browser, to download them (download youtube videos, movie trailers, etc) - I have the AdBlock Plus, which will block all annoying ads on websites. (with Opera you have to select the images; a nifty feature as well, but might take time to configure/set-up) - An extension that will check all extensions that I install, for any new updates - An extension that will backup everything in my Firefox (themes, bookmarks, extensions, cookies, etc). I reinstall my windows once every few months, so this will come in handy. - An extension that will tweak the connection etc to make my browsing experience faster (assuming it works) - Other 3-5 extensions and Wow.. I'm really impressed. Are there any other extensions that you guys use that are useful for you? I've been defending Opera for so long , this move-over surprises me lol Edited January 6, 2007 by :: Lyon ::

:: Lyon ::
Nice, Shame you didn't try Maxthon though, its really good! I had a play with Maxthon 2.0 in the office cause I'm just looking at a browser who has a minimal cpu/memory usage (my office computer is not that great :{) I like the interface but haven't really got into the browser's functionality itself yet. Might wait until it gets final and re-evaluate

Heavy Metal
IE Tab is the Firefox extension I find the most useful. Some websites persist in not making their site cross-browser compatible. IE Tab opens Internet Explorer inside a Firefox tab allowing the non-compatible site to be displayed correctly. Many bank websites, including my own, tend to have this problem (I cannot access my account data unless it is in IE). Firefox does this seamlessly and one never notices it after a while. mayamaniac
I would not use Firefox without these extensions, in order of importance: IE Tab Uppity Tab Mix Plus All-In-One Gestures There are other useful extensions also, but those are the must haves for me. +Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted January 6, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted January 6, 2007 Glad you are happy with your browser choice. But you know the feeling you currently have? The one that says "Wow, this is good"? Remember that maybe at some point you may feel the same way about another browser. Keep your mind open :)
:: Lyon ::
LoL I know.. I got bored very often. That's why I have more than one theme, more than one browser, a few wallpapers, etc :) But I guess, assuming people make amazing themes with FireFox, I might not switch over, unless maybe some people create some powerful Opera Gadgets

Also, Mr.Tech Local Install does WAY more than just generate a list. This is just one of the features it has.
