Pc_Madness
Whats the best way to go about getting a 360 replaced? My DVD drive is sounding rather ugly and has scratched CoD3, plus a few other annoyances. Anyone in Australia gone with getting Microsoft to do it instead of where they bought it from? And also, do you think if I went to the store to return it, I might be able to swap over my wireless battery? (one of them is dead for no real reason, won't charge :\) Cheers guys. :(
DrCheese
You really ought to get it replaced at the store rather than MS. I'll quote the reasons from my post in another thread >.> Microsoft are retarded and often send you a refurbished machine rather than yours or a brand new one. This means you get someone else's repaired machine with known issues already. If your a freak like me who takes good care of stuff it may also come with someone else's marks and dirt all over it. Pretty unacceptable if you ask me. and ya as well about your battery issue. If you brought it from them of course, get it replaced at the shop if they'll take it

Yeah, you make a good point cheesegoduk. :) Do you reckon they'd replace my CoD3 since their 360 stuffed it? (I didn't buy the game from them :p) Or am I pushing my luck? :p
DrCheese
hmm according to wikipedia Microsoft used to replace damaged games, but all they were able to replace them with was Microsoft game studio's games because that's all they own the license for. Don't know if they still do this tho. I doubt the store would replace a game that you didn't buy from them. That said when a friends VHS player ate a tape of mine they gave us tokens for that store so hmm..... You could try returning it to the other store but its unlikely they would take it back. You may have to plead to MS for a replacement and as above you may not get the same game back :(
TokyoKiller
I would try to go to the store where you bought it from and if nothing works with them try with MS. Regarding the game, see if Activision will give you a new copy if you send the scratched copy to them. Of course you could also try with MS regarding the game.
