+dnast Subscriber² Posted January 7, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted January 7, 2007 I'm pretty sure the 10.4 million is the number of systems "sold to retailers", but that's still better than I thought it would do. I highly doubt NPD's numbers will be that high. Can't wait to hear the rest of the announcements in a few hours.

Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo don't know crap about how many they've actually sold until companies like NPD releases figures. I follow http://www.vgcharts.org/. 360: 8.34 million Wii: 4.00 million PS3: 1.41 million NexGencharts uses an estimation algorithm to figure out sales, it's not actually very accurate. TheNay
If they end up selling a new verison of the 360, but don't allow new features on the old 360 wihtout an external hookup, they're shafting the first generation of 360 users. Bet a lot of people who bought a 360 over xmas aren't gonna be happy if thats the case. Overall, I'm glad consoles are getting better features to use now and in the future, makes it worth more down the road and a good investment.
