Just picked it up in my break at school, can't wait to get home and finally play the full version.

Post in this topic if you've bought it, are planning to buy it, have questions or tips about the game and perhaps make arrangements for multiplayer matches :)

I'm not sure what to think of it, it certainly looks good but I remember playing the single player demo a while ago and not liking it, but that was a very old demo so decided to get it anyway :) Worst that could happen, trade it in! :)

I just played through the first 5 missions and I must say I'm very impressed, lots of "wow's" and constant awesome action, haven't really tried multiplayer yet, just one game, but didn't really think much of it so went back to singleplayer.

so far i can recommend it to anybody that loves action packed games :)

I know a few stores in town that just put the game out a few days early. They are a little clueless though, but they are cheap

As for Lost Planet, I couldn't get used to the third person system. But it has potential. I'll probably pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Is it anything like that E3 Demo? That was the most horrible peice of crap i have ever played!

Whaat? How could you say that? I thought that was one of the best demos on 360.

No, Lost Planet isn't being released today -- it's coming on Friday to avoid complaints because Monday is Martin Luther King Day and many businesses won't be open -- but Capcom says the previously announced multiplayer patch is already available on Xbox Live, so the moment gamers log in they'll be able to access the hotly requested fixes.

yes, should be a must-buy. hope to get my claws on a copy soon...

my main thing with it is the story and action bits. sure , GOW's great but they totally understated their own best element (gun fights) and the story could have used more depth. i seriously hope LP:EC will rectify these shortfalls.

I only like the multiplayer demo, the single player I don't like very much. I'm still debating with myself if to get it or not, I see the faceplates have hit ebay already...

so far I'm liking the story, allthough there are some "plotholes" at the moment, hope those get filled by the end of the game :p

deffinately better story-telling then with GOW, that's for sure.

Amazon have dispatched mine, just have to hope it arrives tomorrow :) They usually turn up next day anyway.

Capcom have a habit of making damn good story lines for games so I have no doubt the plot for this game should be just as good!

Mine was despatched from amazon too :)

From the reviews i've read, the game starts well and then slowly goes down hill, also the story is nothing to write home about either. I never listen to reviews so when i play it tomorrow, i'll base my opinion off of that.

My copy of the collector?s edition turned up today (thanks play.com!).

The collectors edition comes in a metal box with a bonus CD, Extra multiplayer map (comes with a key to download it via xbox live) and artwork book.

So far I've completed 2 levels in single player and had a go at the multiplayer mode too.

I'm really enjoying the single player mode so far, the first time you get to pilot a VS (Vital Suit) is pretty cool as they really pack a lot of firepower. Plot wise there seems to be a really interesting story developing.

The multiplayer mode seems pretty good. Its very fast and frantic but to be honest I'm not really sure what the objectives are, I think I'll enjoy it more once I figure what to do!

The main hurdle in lost planet is getting used to the controls. Stick with it though and you'll find an enjoyable game.
